Using internet Explorer with wifi-tethering

Well since discussion of wifi-tethering is back up and our old threads were locked in the undulge section i've decided to release this thread on how to browse on he internet explorer with wifi-tethering since metro pcs is filtering how we browse on their network. and this basically is the same concept as using chrome and firefox browsers by changing the user agent :D and yes it can be done by registry or if ur lazy like me by using a browser add on called user agent picker, which has some neat preloaded user agent tags already in it to choose from or you can type your own.

Ok first thing first download user agent picker free from this link:

Code:
http://www.enhanceie.com/ietoys/uapick.asp

then once its installed open ur browser go to tools then toolbars then customize and u should see UA in blue on the right side select it and click move up till u see it on ur browser top right corner. now click UA icon on ur browser and erase what u see and copy & paste this into that box

Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 2.2.1; en-us; SCH-R910 Build/FROYO)

click save changes and your good to go! to close that box after ur done making changes just press esc, to revert back to default browser tag just erase the user agent in the box and press save changes and it should be back to default. Anyways thanks to cafonez and TRS-80 For discussing these tags!

No offense but thats exactly why carriers keep cracking down harder n harder on tethering. Pll keep using their (the carriers) network for stuff its not intended for, that being full blown data use by non-mobile devices, thus eating up their bandwidth and everyone pissed because its slow as all get out.

tethering is meant for emergency use per say, like you need to get your homework assignment turned in (online classes of course) and your not at home or close to a wifi hotspot and similar things. Not an all out replacement for real internet for the lazy and cheapass ppl who wont or cant afford a real internet connection at home. If one really requires a mobile internet solution, then they should pony up and buy a mobile data card to use with they laptop etc or pay the extra for allowed tethering use, not eat up bandwidth on a cell phone data connection then whine n cry when the carriers try to block or eliminate it completely. ;)

I understand what your saying, but im not here to argue about different views of tethering im only contributing back to the forum since the owner has given us permission once again to talk about tethering.People like me that have the $50 plan have a 1gb data limit even if i chose to use that 1gb limit by tethering guess what after i reach that limit i wont be allowed to use anymore data till my next billing cycle. I appreciate your concern.
