Root v1.1 up for testing ***Umph Kernelv1 Now With Oddball***

How are you checking to make sure? I have no-frills installed with SetCPU, I then set in no-frills, go to setcpu, lock, unlock, and it's showing it resets. I don't see an option to check governors or minimum in no-frills.

EDIT:
I uninstalled, re-installed SetCPU denying superuser privileges. It still shows it resetting with no-frills. I have a feeling you guys are thinking it's working, but the min is actually 245 after locking and you just don't know.
maybe thats the problem? uve got two cpu managers installed and theyre probably fighting eachother and just resetting

I denied SetCPU superuser privileges though. So SetCPU has no control...just using it to check stats. No-frills has superuser access, so it should be the only one with control over CPU settings.

up for over 12hrs now set at 1708 no problems

Yeah here are mine at 1.7

uninstall setcpu, go on nofrills set ur stuff and hit set on boot, then reboot the phone and install setcpu and deny the permissions and see if they stuck. or just uninstall nofrills and try setcpu again it seemed to be working in minus's vid (thanks for that btw minus)

If there is another program that reads CPU info in real time, I can test that with no-frills. But I only know of SetCPU. No-frills has no info about current governor or minimum. So even if you set it, lock, unlock, it'll say the same thing you set it at in the settings panel, but it is not actually what the CPU is using. According to SetCPU (no superuser access), it still reports ondemand governor with min of 245.

Ok, I will do that now.

also if u just go in the market and type cpu theres a bunch of other ones that will let you see, cpumaster, temp+cpu V2, CPU spy, examples

Nope, I set no-frills to 122 min, 1.9 max using Scary gov. I can already tell the settings without looking at them. It's super slow. Reset to 245 min, 245 max ondemand gov.

idk id ask minus what he did because like i said it seemed to be working perfectly in his vid, this kernel does not seem to like certain phones lol. also, what happens if u just set it 245 min and 1.9ghz max on scary, maybe the 122mhz is fudged

hmmm.... no frills is working for me! i set it to 122min and 1.8 max smartass gov. and rebooted and it stuck.... what version of the kernel are you using? im using "tobenamed-kernel_test14"

Set at 245 min with scary, resets back to 245/245. And are you talking about minus5252? Which video? Because he installed an Ideos X6 ROM on his Triumph when he tested Doomlord v01 kernel. So maybe he didn't restore back to stock ROM.

Using same kernel, test 14. Are you checking with SetCPU to see what the current scaling/governor and min are?

Well he didn't let it lock after reboot. So once settings were applied at boot, they stuck because he didn't let it lock...maybe? Not sure. Let me try installing doomlord's, booting, applying CPU settings, shutdown, install test 14, check settings, lol.

screenshot after reboot:

I just did that, it won't change in real time like SetCPU. So try doing this real quick. Set min 122 smartass gov, apply. Exit no frills, then lock unlock your phone. Open nofrills. What does it says on the left side under Min freq and governor? Does it stick?

no im not checking in setcpu.... i think when you open setcpu it resets it. cause it happened to me, both values went to 245mhz. then when i got rid of set cpu the problems stopped. try uninstalling setcpu and use no-frills alone and see if you see a difference. (if you dont want to lose set-cpu use astro file manager to back it up on your sdcard, then uninstall)

Can you test what I said in previous post?

ok i used setcpu to test if everything stayed... the govenor did go back to ondemand but my frequencies stayed the same.

EDIT: but on no-frills it shows it staying the same???? which app should we trust? with me just using no-frills antu benchmark show my frequencies and my phone runs extreamly fast....

So it stayed 122 min?

EDIT:
So I tried setting CPU in Doomlord's kernel v01 and v02 with SetCPU uninstalled. Both will reset on lock. None will hold 122 min or any governor besides ondemand. Used nofrills on both. So problem with OC tables?

aha!!!! i figured it out! un-check "apply on boot"! then set it to what you want and press apply! then it sticks! that was the same problem we were having with setcpu
