Root Velocity 1.1 Upgrade Procedure

I know I probably sound like an idiot but I'm a little new to this. I downloaded velocity 1.1 and flashed it. I didn't wipe anything. Now when I turn it on I keep boot looping. Am I stuck or is there still hope?

When the phone is off hold end+menu+send until it boots into recovery, wipe EVERYTHING one by one then reflash velocity.

Don't forget to wipe dalvik, it's in the advanced menu in your recovery.

Wiping dalvik cache is only in the advanced menu in clockwork recovery, not in AmonRa. Which AmonRa should install when velocity gets flashed.

Can I get some help with going from 1.0 to 1.1 I have it installed on my SD card but when I go to recovery mode all I get is a blue screen that says

Download rom manager. Open rom manager and flash alternate recovery. It may take a try or two but it will work... once flashed reboot into recovery, do the usual wipes, select flash zip, flash velocity 1.1 may be labeled ota.zip unless you changed it's name

I just put Velocity V1.0 on my ally this morning and it was my first time ever rooting a phone or anything. Now when i try to update via terminal it just says Coming Soon! when i check for ROM Updates. Help please?

it did that to me too. I gave up and downloaded v1.1. I'm glad I did too, since I need to reflash it occasionally

I'm a bit confused though. I have the file downloaded but when I try to extract it to my C Drive, it says it can't make the .img files. What should I do?

Do not extract. Download 1.1, place it on your sd card, reboot into recovery and flash the zip

And do a factory reset before flashing 1.1 if you like being able to send mms

Is anyone have any problems with the market? The market keeps crashing on the wifes phone. If I uninstall the update, it will open, but as soon as I use it again, it crashes on the next use. The error messages dissapears too quick for me to read it.

NM, I guess you have to run the velocity script twice, once to download it, and once to run it. Once the update applied, everything works.

I followed your instructions and wiped everything down the list, but after I reboot I just get the vertical Velocity splash screen and LG's Life's Good splash screen that alternate. What am I doing wrong?

Did you reflash the ROM afterward
