while working on getting all the drivers squared away, I got to step 5 and my device was no where to be found. I'm planning on stripping all the drives it installed and starting fresh, my phone is now in bootloader mode, how do I back out of this menu?

Thanks!

It's showing up as unknown device, so I don't believe it installed the drivers properly?

For some reason it wont successfully Samsung drivers, I should note that I don't have the stock Samsung USB cord, but the moto one from my Bionic

My laptop will not recognize my phone. Crap!

if bootloader says start, power button will boot you up.
if it says recovery, it will boot you into recovery.

wug's toolkit is way too easy. i didn't even know what fastboot or a bootloader was, and it walked me through it.

It says start at the top of the bootload menu, but fastboot is in red. It seems pretty easy, but for some reason the computer will not find my phone(drivers) windows 7

It seems like it's stuck on the bootload screen.

None of the buttons will do anything? Should I do a battery pull? I didn't really get anywhere with the root, I was just trying to find the proper drivers

Mine will not get past the Google screen with the 'unlocked' lock icon. I can reboot into recovery after a battery pull. Windows 7 won't recognize my device. I've tried to install drivers from Samsung, Wugs, and the ones linked above... nothing!

The drivers linked should work with adb. When you do

adb devices

In the folder adb is in, what shows up?

I used the pdanet method, worked like a charm.

I've had my GNex stock since new, about 3 months now. I just rooted tonight using Wug's Toolkit.

It worked perfectly, and I can hardly count to potato. :D
.

Question: During the root process, I see some message boxes that say it is flashing recovery, rooting, etc. Then it seems to hang at Booting TWRP Temporarily, or Waiting for device to finish booting up. The device screen is at the Fastboot screen with "Start" showing. Seems to just hang there and doesn't finish. I can use volume key to cycle thru items Start, Recovery, Bootloader and Power off. Is the root process waiting on me to select one an press the power button to continue? When Start is selected and I press power key it boots up and I get screens saying it's rooting, etc. But when it's all finished and I check for root, it is not rooted.
I really need some help to finish this. I have rooted and rom'd an Omnia and a Fascinate with no problems. I have now spent over 7 hours with this thing. Uninstall, install new drivers, go thru the process over and over. All I have managed so far is unlocking. Very frustrating. This is supposed to be easy but it just is not working. Samsung Galaxy Nexus cdma Verizon. 4.0.4 build IMM76K. Windows 7 64 bit.

Today, I tried again. Went back to WUG's root button again and this time there were no hang ups. Everything went through quickly and smoothly I have finally gotten root. Ready now to do a restore.
