[Verizon] google play music-empty after flashing new roms

Google play music app was working fine on previous ROMs, and works fine when I restore a backup. By work, I mean all my songs are there. After flashing a couple new ROMs , BAMF 2.3 and Xenonhd v10, songs will not sync. My account is listed and I even tried to manually sync, but it just shows up blank. Also, immediately after flashing BAMF 2.3 and booting, one of the first things it does is tell me I have an update for Google maps. Just noticed that my gallery won't show up either. Pics and songs can be found in the SD card location in root explorer though.

Is this a gapps issue? What's the deal here? I wipe clean every time and flash the respective gapps that are

Any chance you are still experiencing the .nomedia issue:

I noticed Koush updated Rom Manager a time or two recently but many people here reported similar issues to your problem recently. So check the Play Store for a Rom Manager update if you run it. That may resolve it without workarounds.

Another issue was a lack of certain Google sync items on the 7/26 version of Gapps. I worked around this by installing Formula84's custom Gapps package here:

[GApps] 4.1.1-398337 JRO03C GApps Package - [VZW] Galaxy Nexus Development - RootzWiki

Once you actually DO have your gallery back, this gives you extra options to sync Google items such as music. Go to Gallery > settings > change sync preferences > select your gmail account name > select all the things you want to sync and Google Play music is on that list among many others.

I feel it's a problem with the gapps. I had absolutely no issue before flashing a new ROM and when I restore back to my latest Bamf (2.0, was starting to fall behind and ready to try something new) it all shows up just fine. ROM manager wasn't on 5.0.1.3. I forget what it was but I know it wasn't that version. I still decided to follow those instructions but updated cwm with 6.0.1.0 and I forget exactly which ROM manager version, again not 5.0.1.3, and the media still wouldn't show up.

So I restored BAMF 2.0 nandroid and everything is where it should be, cwm 6.0.1.0 and ROM manager 5.0.0.8.

I thought using gapps not recommended with the specific rom would screw it up? By the way you can just go to accounts in settings and individually select what to sync.

Yeah you can select what to sync. And the only rom I'm aware of that uses it's own Gapps is BAMF because they sign theirs. You're right, you couldn't use the ones I posted on that rom. Pretty much any other rom should be fine.

Hmm. Maybe I'll try the gapps you listed with xenonv10 just to see if it's a gapps issue. I want to say I didn't have this problem with sorcery but I'm not sure I only used it for a day.

Edit: I briefly looked through the individual ROM threads again (xenon, bamf) and noticed no mentioning of gapps problems, so I thought to myself "I reinstalled cwm and ROM manager to hopefully fix my issues, but I didn't reinstall the ROM I just hoped it would be fixed because those other instructions didn't mention reinstalling the ROM. Maybe I should give that a shot, it won't take but a few minutes." Voila! Pics are back in my gallery and I'm assuming once Google music installs my library will be there.

If I could give you double thanks I would !
