[Verizon] help with nexus!

Nexus rooted and unlocked this morning. Made a backup. Flashed clockwork recovery. Can't install zip through rom manager and can't make another backup. Just goes to Andy with exclamation. Any advice on how to get it fixed and run bugless 4.1.1?

if you are in that screen you should be able to use your vol buttons up or down to choose recovery, then hit power.

once in recovery you should be able to use it as normal, flash zip from sd card, choose zip, choose yes, etc.

if you can't access CWM recovery you may not have installed it right, try again from rom manager.

Reflashed cwm and made a back up. But then I went to install bugless beast from the rom manager, got the exclamation point and then I tried manually booting into recovery and got it again. Thinking about just unrooting and calling it day

i read somewhere today about having to edit some file if CWM recovery is acting this way...

I had that problem at first then realized I was booting my phone up wrong. Once the phone is powered down I was holding the volume down and the power button. That kept giving me the exclamation point. I then realized I had to hold both the volume up and volume down at the same time as the power button and it booted up fine into recovery. See if that works.

Flashed custom recovery won't "stick"?

I also added a function that makes recovery stick in my Android Root Toolkit app (free in the Market; see the bottom link in my signature).
