I've already downloaded all the drivers and appropriate files, but for some reason my root isn't sticking and it's getting pretty frustrating. So please take a look at my step by step and please tell me if I'm missing anything.
Here's where it gets weird. Any commands I try in ROM Manager or ES File Explorer after the reboot (such as renaming the /system/recovery-from-boot.p file) no longer work because of insufficient privileges. Please tell me what I'm missing because I know it's possible, but I'm obviously overlooking something. My ultimate goal is to have the franco kernel running on my stock 4.0.4. Thanks for the input and thanks to the people who have already tried helping me through this.
