[Verizon] IMM76K Radios/Bootloader at XDA

Ya know it could be the network.

Honestly I think there are more problems with the actual network (VZW) than some believe.

These quotes gave me some relief that the problems MAY not be just my phone...then I realized as my signal went out in my kitchen this am, two other phones right beside me did not. Granted they are both 3G.

I wonder if switching to 3G only would lead to more correlation of signal loss among all three phones....and if not, wouldn't that rule out the network?

Great idea. Try 3G for a couple of days turn LTE off and see what your experience is. Should be telling. And when I stated "network issues" I was referring to VZW's LET network so yeah, try 3G :)

Alright, the leaked 4.0.4 radios didn't cut it for me, lets see if these get me the elusive 4G at my desk.

Bah Humbug. I guess I just need to resign myself to not getting LTE at my desk.

Dang! I must admit there is a small part of me that wants to see Anti see LTE at his desk. Let us know how they do in other various areas compared to the older .4 radios :)

Haha, well I am back at work, and just turned my phone on to see I AM connected to 4G, with a -110 dBm, 30 asu signal. I did get a few hits of LTE with the old radios, but they were fleeting, lasting 5-10 minutes only, and never signal that good. We will see if I can start holding on to it longer, but I am going to say right now it seems in fact these radios are an improvement to the stock, and leaked 4.0.4 radios.

I agree these are better radios. From my standpoint, dropouts have decreased quite a bit - though still at 4 or so a day and not enough to make me want to leave my phone on 4G. Also, many had reported and download speeds are slower on this build, but when I DID have it on 4G, Speedtest logged mine in at 33059 Down and 12842 Up. Very Nice.

Yeah!

Of course, after 30 minutes of 4G when I got back to my desk, it switched back to 3G and has refused to go back the rest of the day :p. I wish there was a way to force an LTE connection, cause I know its there.

Did you go into "mobile network" and toggle CDMA >CDMA/LTE >CDMA?

Maybe a quick toggle (giving it 10 seconds in-between each toggle) might catch the LTE sig?

Yesterday I didn't get a whiff of 4G. Today I have cycled 3 times from 4G/3G/no data in the first hour. Friday it was solid for a wail, then nothing. I don't know, I have tried cycling everything. I still think the radios are better, but still not quite good enough for me.

My elusive 4G at work is no more with the new radios. I used to almost never get 4G in my office at work. Now since I upgraded to the new radios, I get 4G without problem. DL speeds at ~3mbps, prior with 3G I would get 500-600kbps at my desk. Also, since my last update, I have not had any dropped or "muted" calls. I do notice that the switching time when leaving a 4G signal to 3G is increased, and sometimes gets annoying that it takes so long.

I would be happy with 500kbps to be honest. on 3G I get 100kbps. That signal is awful too. Stupid building.
