Verizon Incredible 2 Release Date

I know that the common consensus is that this will be 3G, but is there any information that states this fact? I just don't see why they would release a 3G phone at this point?
 
there are not a lot of 4g/LTE cities right now. so many people don't need a LTE enabled phone. if you go to the verizon website you can find out if your city is on the list or not. my city for example isn't even on the "cities LTE is coming to in 2011" so for me a 3g device if perfectly fine. however in a couple of years when everyone is covered, then everyone should be getting 4g phones.
 
As far as why 3G....I've got a Thunderbolt and 4G is fast but until battery technology catches up, there are many people who would rather have a (3G) phone that lasts though the day rather than a blazing phone that's dead by lunch.
 
Gotcha I understand that there still is a market for 3G phones at the moment, however do we have any solid information that this phone definitely 3G?

I WISH you were right....i could see VZW just nonchalantly saying "oh btw we're going to be selling the Dinc2 tomorrow"....however i feel pretty confident that this won't be the case.

as far as 3g/4g i could really careless right now. 3G is perfectly fine with me for now. I too like the size of this device and i NEED a global device worth a crap.
 
yeah but usually when a product hits EoL it isn't the same day that its sibling comes out. However this is a good sign i guess...
 
..hmmm that also says that the DX2 is going to be 4G which still isn't clarified yet in anything official. End of April wouldn't surprise me at all for the Dinc2.
 
well one thing for sure is the Dinc1 is no longer available on VZW's website.....hmmm

I saw the lineup yesterday, a lot of good phones coming out! I have always said I don't like the big screen phones but the Bionic looks great. I am pretty sure I will jump on the Dinc2.
 
i don't trust that. I saw that two days ago. It also says the Dx2 is a 4G device which no one still knows for sure if it is or not.
 
Yup, no Incredible 2 today.... hope everyone has learned not to trust a guy over at CostCo over the phone... or from any other company over the phone...

On a side note, the Incredible 2 isn't proper upgrade from the Incredible 1. It needs more stuff to be a proper Incredible, I'm actually disapointed in the specs, they should have been better for an Incredible 2 name. Now the Samsung Galaxy S2 is a BEAST. Whens HTC going to make a phone like that!?
