[Verizon] MyBackup - is it "all that"

Anyone have any experience with MyBackup? I want to unlock my boot loader and root but made the critical mistake of not reading up to see that unlocking the boot loader wipes all data and spent a lot of time customizing my phone.

I already purchased Titanium so I want to stay with it, but wondering if the free 30 day trial of MyBackup will "save my butt" and not make me have to reconfigure all the stuff I have done so far to customize my phone.

The market page says it will work on rooted phones. I don't think it will backup data or system settings on non-rooted phones but I could be wrong.

I believe the Gnex toolkit (1 click root thing) now has an option to backup data

Keep in mind when you unlock the bootloader it wipes the SD as well so be sure to backup everything on it also ;)

I have MyBackup Pro. It absolutely will backup your home screen settings. You will NOT have to reconfigure. Backup, remove the folder to your pc, after rooting add the mybackup folder back to your phone and restore. :D

I just tried the trial version for the first time last night, and it worked great. I'll probably experiment and flash a few more roms before I decide on the pro version, but it is very user friendly and easy to figure out. I wanted to like Titanium, but the UI to me was hideous and confusing

I must have missed where the option was to backup homescreen settings in My Backup.... Nova launcher worked nicely for that, but I'll have to check it out

Has anyone tried the backup in the toolkit? Curious if it works well and backs up all apps and their data.

Going to have some free time this weekend and want to do the unlock and root. But really don't want to have to set everything up again.

Thanks!

I was curious about the toolkit backup too, so please share your results if you try it

Edit: I might actually try it tomorrow before flashing something new...at least I'll have a fail safe from My Backup if it doesn't work out. But I'll let you know if it works well

Any luck?

Delayed because of pc issues, but gave Wugs backup a try last night. Extremely easy to use and helpful support, but excruciatingly SLOW on both backup and restore...to be expected I suppose. There were times it seemed to just stop working but it was fine. I stopped watching progress after 90 min.on the backup but it was finished when I woke up this morning. I'd never use this as a replacement for MyBackup or Titanium but it I think it definitely has some merit in some situations
