[Verizon] Not sure whats wrong...

Ok, So I unlocked the bootloader and followed the superboot method on rooting and have superuser. I downloaded the rom manager and when i try to install clockworkmod recovery or touch it just freezes up and says unable to get proper permissions to install or something like it what did i do wrong?

i also have now tried the clockwork root and i still don't have root access.....

how are you trying to get root access it is a simple process

are you following the root tutorial that scary alien put together?
or some program that tells you it will do it for you?

I'm not sure whats wrong, but i have superuser access but when i use root checker it says i don't have root access, I just reset everything back to stock and followed the clockworkmod method and still nothing.

Note: some users who have upgraded to Android 4.0.4 have reported that the above su.zip from the clockworkmod site does not give them root. You can use this file: View attachment 30902 (from su.zip - File Shared from Box - Free Online File Storage) instead which IS reported to work).
