Verizon Note 2 Pre-order, Release date, and speculation thread

I was at Walmart tonight and asked about the Note 2 and they did not have it but they did have the $100 gift card promotion. I asked the guy and he looked at a release schedule and said that he does not have any info about it.

They do carry the Note 1 for $99...
 
Two more days till the suppose shipment date! We'll see tho its VZW. I'm hoping no later than Friday, otherwise I'm really canceling my plan and start a boycott with everyone I know!
 
Not everyone visits forums. Instead of calling them names why not just call them bidders who want this phone just as much as you do.

Make sure you go to My Verizon and setup your data limit warnings so that you will get a text if you are approaching your limit.

That's a great way to avoid overage charges.
 
So apparently the phone ships tomorrow.

I need a cup of coffee. Or some valium lol.

So I've usually only bought my phone directly in VZW stores, when they ship it to me it will come with the MicroSIM and everything right?

And then is it as easy as going to the site and changing the device on my MyVerizon page, or can I just do it directly by powering on the phone? I'd love to avoid going to the store if possible.

No need to have to go to the store. You should just be able to turn your old device off and the new one on and all be well with the world! :-)

They include a little instruction paper on how to activate the device, so worst case would be you have to call a CSR VZW's 800 number for help...
 
Yeah the last time I did a hand-activation myself was the Thunderbolt, and I had to call up...and it was the corporate account for my job anyways.

I think once I had to get a different SIM because I had like the LTE one but it wasn't the new micro. Hopefully I just have to turn it on...there's no *228 or whatever anymore on LTE ;P
 
It's pretty sad that while I was home for the break my Note 2 Home Button covers arrived weeks before the phone...even from China lol.
 
Just checked the order status page, and instead of saying 11/27, now it says:

Expected Ship Date: Not available at this time.

It's probably fine, right? Someone tell me it's fine... please?
 
This is normal and expected. It's been happening on and off for many people since 10/24.

The website says clearly it will ship by 11/27 on the sales page.

my order page says "EXPECTED Ship date" but when you look up the phone to pre-order it says "WILL ship by 11/27".

Who knows? I actually hope it ships or Walmart gets it first I will cancel my vzw order and order it through walmart and get the $100 GC per phone. I am buying 2 of them.
 
At this point it doesn't matter WHERE I get it from lol, as long as I have it timely since I'm paying full price. BUT IT BETTER SHIP.

Or we're all burning VZW down

I ordered one of the Mercury cases, I'll let you know how it works out. I may only use it temporarily...it was only $5 lol. If I need a Seidio battery I'll likely not need it!
 
This thread will be dead come release day. :-)

I'll be spending 12 hours in the hunting cabin this week. Would be nice to have a new phone to play with while I'm looking at the trees.
 
The only pro I see in this is, we've gotten to know one another through our torturous sufferings lol!

@Petie....I've received my mob c TPU case so I'm thinking the mercury will be similar to that. The feel is good and decent protection I think :) my mercury's should be in today if not tomorrow :)
