Verizon Note 2 Pre-order, Release date, and speculation thread

Please forgive me if this has been answered. Has there been 100% confirmation about the encrypted bootloader, or is it all hearsay and assumtions to date? If so, can someone point me to the source? Thank you.
 
Sure. Since there is no difference in 3G vs. LTE pricing it's no big deal...

Because from what I understood once you went onto an LTE plan there was no getting off....so maybe you're still paying on the LTE scale.

This is true. An unsecured bootloader was leaked that could be flashed with ODIN.

There was no cracking involved, see above. Is your statement about the secure bootloader hearsay, or do you know for 100% certain?

That is certainly true...smartphone, whether 3G or LTE, is no different; smartphone to "feature" phone is a difference...but mainly in just no data plan is typically required...

So, had to cancel my preorder that I placed on 10/26 and redo due to shipping address change today. When I recieved my confirmation email, this is what it said.
Order Location:W104101 Order Date: 11/26/2012Ship By: 11/26/2012

Maybe? Pretty please Verizon? lol

Oh boy! I hope you are right! Trying to stay calm.... (That is NOT a Note2 in my pants....) :D
 
For what it's worth. I just ordered a gray one (business account) and it still says ship by 11-27...BUT, when I look at the order status it says PENDING. This is a good sign because my order from 10-25 was saying AWAITING INVENTORY right up until it dropped off the list (only the last 30 days orders are available to view for a business).

Come on Verizon, ship those things!!!
 
FYI - Someone on the Verizon forum talked to Best Buy and the guy told him the phones are to be received tonight and released tomorrow. Also, folks who pre-ordered are starting to see the charge on the phone. Verizon says the phone has "shipped".

If this is true, it echo's the comment made to me that it would be released on the 27th as mentioned here in the original thread: http://androidforums.com/samsung-ga...erizon-gn2-release-white-gn2-us-cellular.html

If this is the case, I'd like to know now instead of having to reschedule my day at the last minute tomorrow.
 
My CC was charged! Ordered Verizon online at 11:45pm on 24th. Located in Iowa

My order status: Your order is currently being processed. Please check back tomorrow.
 
Shoot. Mine still reads:
We received your order and it is in process.
Expected Ship Date: Not available at this time.

I ordered on 11/17.
 
I'm getting nervous now. Just did a rep chat on the VZW site.

They're saying it will ship tomorrow...but I never got an email confirmation when I did my order after midnight on 10/24.

Did anyone else receive an email confirmation after placing their preorder? When I use my reference # the info comes up on the site...but I still never got an email confirmation. I'm getting paranoid.
 
Everyone - call your local Best Buy and speak to someone in the mobile department.

Ask if it will be available tomorrow and how many units they have.

Post results.

UPDATE: I just called mine and they said, "The truck just pulled up and if they are on the truck, they will be available. Call back around 8 to find out."
