Root Verizon OTA Flash Update

The Verizon Flash Update keeps trying to install on my Bugless Beast .4 phone. When I click "install" it reboots the phone, and tries to install but fails on the install and goes straight to Clockwork Recovery Mode. Then a couple days later it tells me to install the update again.

Does anybody know of a way to disable the update notification or successfully install the update so that it will stop bothering me?

Even with the above fix applied to my phone I was still getting the flash update notification. I finally just had to change to another ROM. I am now running UD8 without any notifications. I do hope Peter puts out a BB v.5 because I really do like his ROM.

did you try the more manual fix - post #14 - I linked to above Pete's fix posted by OMJ?

I did not do a manual fix. I guess that may have fixed the notifications.

sorry I thought pete had updated this to fix it with FRG22D. I can make an update.zip that will fix it although someone will have to be a guinea pig since I dont have a D1 anymore. Its just a build.prop edit so there is no real risk flashing it

I edited petes fix (instead of making my own because his rom has a number of things that need permissions set and I did not want to track them all down.) So all the credit goes to Pete. I just editted 1 line.
