Hmm. I don't remember it asking me that.
It didn't ask you because more then likely the sim card you already have doesn't fit the Slll or you are upgrading from a phone that doesn't have a sim card.

Hmm. I don't remember it asking me that.
I'll be in 37204 zip code Thursday and Friday. If you live there, I WILL have your phone!
And yes, I'll have mine in my hands by 8am the day it arrives. Unfortunately I will immediately have to start my route and won't get to play with it till about 4pm.
Any ideas as to why im being held up now?
Ordered at 7:03 AM, first day. Shipped to receive NLT 7pm on 5 July. Anyone want my Iphone 4?
Is he trying to take your wallet? Be sure to shoot first, empty the magazine, rinse and repeat, and give him some concrete boots and take him for a swim in the deepest lake around.
Quite frankly, you're wrong. Verizon has removed unlimited data for quite awhile now... you can't purchase it any longer as a new customer and couldn't for the past year or more. Now they are forcing loyal customers to go to tiered data when executing regular industry standard upgrade practices, which does nothing but hurt loyal customers. They also instituted a $30 upgrade fee when upgrading your phone, which again only hurts loyal customers. And they also removed their annual upgrade program. In a struggling economy, Verizon is generating more revenue than ever.Funny how many people were posting things like "F-ing VZW! They probably won't ship until 7/12!" I know everyone thinks they are so massive that they couldn't really care what people like us think, but my guess is that they realize that they are in the service industry. Yes, they sell phones and cell service, but I'm sure they understand that if they let down their customers, they will lose in the long run.
Ha! I don't work for Verizon, but this was the store in Broomfield right across the parking lot from the Best Buy. I am also in the service industry and work for Qdoba overseeing the Western U.S. I preach great customer service to all my teams, and every time I've been in that location, they have been all smiles, and very helpful. Makes a big difference in building brand loyalty.
Nice to see this thread heating up, and I'm happy for all of you getting expected ship dates! I hope Verizon moves through their queue early and we all get our pre-orders before the 10th. I would hate to get mine after the folks that waltz into a store for one, especially since I'm leaving for SD for two weeks on the 12th!!
Its weird, did everyone who is getting theirs on 7/5 pay for overnight. It almost seems location based. From what I have noticed everything coming from Memphis TN is showing a 7/5 delivery date, and everything coming from West Chester PA is showing a 7/6 delivery date and 2 day shipping. I wonder why?
BAH! It does seem like most of the pre-orders being released are all from the east coast. I just know I was up early to pre-order this sucker knowing I wanted it. Now feel like a kid and someone stole my candy out of my hand. haha. Or like it's christmas and everyone is getting their presents from Santa and I'm sitting with coal. haha. I know I will eventually get it, just wishing Verizon would send out the phones for pre-orders for everyone who ordered the first day it was opened.
Little rant here:
I ordered at 6:30cst on june 6th called today to get my order number and check the status, and that returned a message of july 9th the same date the lady on the phone told me. Got on here tonight to find that some were getting theirs on the 6 th so i checked back hoping for an update. Sure enough there was to my surprise and................it now says the 11th. Apperently there was a problem with my order it says and claims i recieved an email that never showed up in any of my email folders. so what to do?
I guess call them on thursday, or does anyone have any more input.
Mine was originally "Ship By" the 9th as well, but it now also says "Expected Ship Date 07/11/12", however there's no notice of an error or that they tried to notify via email . I ordered around 3 hours after 7AM ET on the 6th. I initially tried to order at 7AM ET (I'm in Cali so that's 4AM PT for me), but the website continuously failed to process the order for me for some reason. I also tried calling and the CSR also could not process my order. After an hour of this I went back to bed, then tried the website again a couple of hours later and it went through. I guess that 3 hour gap translates to 2 additional days . It has been a long wait, but I guess I'll just have to pick my nose for a few more days. But hey, I got a new guitar a couple days ago, hence my distraction from this site, so at least I get to be happy about something.
Anyway, I guess I'll be calling Thursday as well.
Does Verizon send an email when your phone ships or does it show up when you check your order status? I'm sure it's been covered but i just got off work so excuse my laziness
I KNOW my car is faster with a huge 4" chrome tail pipe and a large bumper sticker. At least 10-15 hp. Don't go there, I can prove it, my butt dyno doesn't lie.:car:I'm sure you're right. But I'll *feel* like it's noticeably faster! (kind of like your car always runs better after you detail the engine.)
Morning
Happy Independence Day everyone!
Still radio silence from Verizon here.
Looks like most people getting their phones Thursday the order number is in the 40,000s. Mine is 1.5 million.
Guess the only thing to do is enjoy the day offand try not to obsess over it
Excellent choice by VZW releasing these early... i am generally the first to give them the finger but it looks like they will be the only carrier with a smooth release (fingers crossed)
My "order" number is in the 40s and still nothing. Not even the promised email explaining the so called error in processing.
Smarter choice would have been to ship them Monday so we would have had them yesterday and show them off to our friends and family on the July 4th holiday. My first iPhone sighting was at a fireworks display back in 2007. Exposure sells just as many phones as advertising, IMO.
I do agree they were VERY smart in setting their unofficial release dates (7/9 thru 7/11). It was obvious early there would be shortages for all US carriers.
Order numbers must have more to do with where the order was taken (specific web server vs phone vs store entry). I ordered mine 5 hours in 1st day via my Droid X while on break which may be why my O# is so high. It's like ordering at a fast food place. One register has order numbers in the 100s and the other in the 200s.
And yes, I have anxiety when I check my email. I want an email from Verizon, but if it's the "bad one"....arrrghhhh
