Verizon Pre-order, Release date, and speculation thread

DON'T do it. The blue is awesome looking. Plus if you case it, it won't really matter anyhow.

I think if you open it or not, you still have to pay restocking as you still bought the phone and are returning it. I may be wrong though.

Wow..Glad you guys are getting your phones, but all these posts make this whole process sound like a complete train wreck. Almost glad I don't have mine yet.
 
If Verizon charges your card, does it mean that it will be shipping that day? The next day? I am just trying to figure out how much leeway I will have to know that it is going to be shipping. Thank you.

So if anyone wants a chuckle...

Just got online with VZW support to try and get an explanation of why people who ordered after me were getting their phones shipped but mine was not. According to the rep, none of the pre-orders have shipped and they will ALL ship on July 11. 8-) Makes you feel good about customer support doesn't it. :/

PS - still no charge or e-mail... I've never been so excited to open e-mails when my phone bings.

VZNavigator AND the Blockbuster app!!! (are they still in business)?

Really hope it has City ID trial too, because in the last 2 years I've used that something like ZERO times. It laughs at me every time I scroll past it though.

I'm coming from a Fascinate, so I assume the SIM won't work in the S3. Does the S3 come with a new SIM card in the box, or do you have to order one separately?

If it's already on truck out for delivery then you are SOL. But if they aren't able to deliver today, you can always go to the distribution center after the truck returns for the evening and they will usually go get it for you then.

Mine was charged Tuesday night around 9 and still no info on shipment
 
I think I would be less frustrated if when I got my email saying its been updated to processing it didn't move my ship date to 7/11 instead of staying 7/9.

Patience is not a virtue I have.

Let us know it turns out. I'm waiting for mine to arrive any minute now. Did you take the sim from your X, or using the new one?

It wasn't too bad, my S3 is now active. As of right now, you can't activate online because the S3 doesn't show up. You just have to call it in.

The process could definitely be smoother, but it's not TOO bad considering a new phone has been released. Although, with a big company like Verizon, everything should have been in place from the get go.
