Sounds like you were one of the unfortunate ones grouped into a delay for one of the 32gb variants. I would definitely call VZW customer support and complain, especially if you never received a formal notice of the delay.

Status: Your order will ship by 07/09/2012
When I called the 611 number the message says -
Order has been processed and shipped two day shipping
Click 2 for tracking number
When I click 2 it says-
Order has been received and activated!
Problem is I didn't receive or activate it.
Called support they said it hasn't shipped yet. The assured me it hasn't shipped - they don't seem to know up from down.
I have no idea what is going on with Verizon.

I thought of that...either that or the 10th was a pr mistake...since all of the 3rd party sellers had the 12th as the availability date from the get go. Verizon usually launches on Thursdays anyway.

The online order status says the same for me, although my card was charged on Friday. I tried the automated voice order status, and it says order has been processed and shipped and should arrive in 2 business days. And when I chose the send tracking# option, I got order "received and activated." I guess the phone must have arrived and was activated in my sleep, and apparently they sent me an S3 that looks and functions exactly like my Droid X, and fits in the same case as my Droid X. It even has the same scuff marks on it.
Maybe if I had given them a shrubbery with my order everything would be in check.

I never got a shipping email though my card was charged on Thursday. I just got off with CS and they checked with their "internet department", told me will definitely ship tomorrow (Mon)., and if customer service said so it must be true.
Not to piss anyone off, but at least they told me that is in the system for standard overnight shipping, which I know seems to be on some random orders. - we'll see

I suspect you may have been on the last leg of pre-orders before the 28th, and thus stock at the time may have been pretty limited. Hopefully the estimated date of shipping is just that, an estimate and VZW will have enough stock to ship you your device before then.

Yes, I have tried the reference page, the fedex page, status page, and calling 611
status page says will be shipped by the 9th
Fedex comes up blank
Reference page says sent to processing
611 says I have it and activated it...

I was told the same when I called, just hasn't shipped out so that's the automated line not updated correctly, I'm sure it will ship tomorrow for both of us.
16Gb blue, 6/14 3:31pm over the phone with a rep, CC charged, + sign in order staus, no email yet.
I'm going to try that trick a few post's up with fedex and see if it works. I'd like for once to prove a CSR wrong
Thats always how it goes and why you should never preorder. I walked into a Tmobile store 10 days ago and could have bought a 16GB well before most people were getting their preorders. I walked into an AT&T store and i DID walk out with an S3 few days ago while people who preordered are still waiting. Sorry Verizon, maybe don't f*ck with the boot loader next time.

Placed my order on 6/18 for two phones: one 16gb pebble blue and also a 32gb blue for the wife and I, to be shipped to our Brooklyn residence. I saw that the Verizon status page shifted to the "+" sign at around 11pm last night and that our AmEx card showed a pending charge at around the same time. Just now, about 14 hours later, received an email from Verizon stating the item shipped on 7/7. My tracking number isn't yet registering with FedEx but it looks like I'm in the "two business day" camp so I'm guessing it'll arrive on Tuesday, 7/10, consistent with my original ship-by date. Mildly frustrated it's arriving on the same day as it is released for in-store purchase, but at least it's not arriving after the in-store pickup date.
Best of luck to all of you who still haven't heard anything. Can't wait to finally get these bad boys fired up and running. Had almost two solid years with my Samsung Fascinate but it is really struggling to make it to the finish line. Just two more days till you get to retire buddy!

You can't make blanket statements. What you're saying isn't false, but not completely accurate either.
1. - preorder with VZ meant keeping unlimited data.
2. - preorder with VZ meant many got their phones way before best buy orders will.
3. - Preorders with VZ are getting 32 gb phones where the word on the street says some retailers wont' have those yet.
Oh, and I know people in Phoenix with T-Mobile and AT&T who would cut off their left nut to get the type of reception that I get with Verizon.
yup , Tmobile and AT&T are really bad in Phoenix i know from experience. never tried sprint but i never heard good things from them.
most of us pre ordered to keep unlimited, as for mrbutters if you are not getting a Verizon S3 phone then what are you doing here? shouldnt you be out pestering the ATT&T area or soemthing?
You'd give up unlimited data and pay more for a fixed data plan just to get your phone a couple weeks early. I'm jealous, I wish I had your kind of wealth to throw money around. Oh well, if that works for you.

Was your order number 7 digits? You just added 2 zero's in front? So your referance number looked like W123456_001234567 ?
when i was in limbo i ended up adding 4 zeroes so yo might need to add more
