OMG...I was thinking the same thing. I need to go somewhere to post something to get off that #. Funny that evil # post happened on what has become just an evil topic for everyone.

For anyone who might not be at home when they deliver the phone I have left a note on the door before basically saying the following...
"Fedex,
My name is John Doe and here is my tracking #23948238734. Please leave the package on my doorstep."
Then I signed the note.
Since it is an indirect signature they took the note and left the package. I did this with my wife's Razr. You can also leave a note for them to deliver it to a neighbor and have them sign for it if you want.

I ordered a white 32gb on 6/27 at 8pm in the store. My credit card was charged [FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]07/06/2012 7:25 pm. Verizon email with tracking came in 7/7/2012 at 11:00am.

Anyone else charge it with BofA credit? It's still a pending transaction for me, and they first charged it 7/6 in the morning! :/ getting worried ....

Do you have any paperwork from the order? Just bring it to your local store. Hopefully they can fix you right up.

Mine went through. Pending since third and it went through I think yesterday. Phone shipped out the 5th

I can confirm along with the others the verizon SNAFU. However, mine decided to go a step further. Verizon charged my card on Friday with a supposed and promised delivery date of Monday. Tracking numbers never came, an the ord status shifted to "order in process/no money has been charged ship date- unkown". Checked my account immediatly and saw the charge from verizon. ( not funds hold) an actual debit to the acct. i called customer service immediatly who said they do not have a ship date for the device. I asked them why they charged my account, since it's verizon policy that customer acct is not charged until the device ships. He said he wasn't sure why, and that their system says i have no set ship date due to the devices now on back order. I know, it's just a phone but i'm a little angry at verizon at the moment. Grrrrrr!

Order June 27th, 1:23 PM and an hour ago received my "Your order has shipped" email from Verizon with my tracking number, but nothing coming up on Fedex's site. Says expected ship date July 8th.
My question is where do I find out what shipping I will be receiving? (Overnight or two-day) Must I wait til I see something come up on Fedex's end?

I was really late to the party and pre-ordered on the 3rd--July 3rd! As of right now, I have the "plus sign", credit has been charged, but no tracking information/shipping email confirmation. Based on some of your experiences, I hope that mine will ship soon because my card has been charged(or maybe it has shipped already?). 
I haven't gotten a clear answer to this question: If Verizon charges your card, does it mean the phone has shipped?
I thought it was their policy to not charge unless the phone is shipped.
I send my sincere condolences to those who have their devices shipping 7/19/12. If anyone deserved that, it was me because I pre-ordered so late.

Card charged Thursday, to day Sunday with no shipping info. Customer (not very good) service says it's been "released" but say's prolly not shipped yet, they'll check Monday. HUH?
One of 2 things. Either shipped with no info tracking info sent from Fedex to VZ, or not shipped yet, ugh!

Technically your card is ONLY charged when the order ships. I suspect like me you're caught in "weekend limbo" in that your order more than likely has shipped but shipped so late on Friday/Early Saturday that the system just hasn't updated with the proper tracking info. I'd wait until tomorrow to see whether you get some new movement or not.

Grrrrrrrr Verizon just Delayed their in store release! was set for the 10th now it's the 12th.
So that obviously means no Best Buy release on the 10th!
Best Buy sold the hotly anticipated Incredible and Razr before stores got them, so IF Best Buy gets these before, they will probably sell them. The key is Verizon has to start officially shipping them and they have.

Finally got a pending charge on my credit card like all you've guys have been talking about the past few days. Ordered at 830pm ET on the 27th. I don't really care when it comes though.

I just called Verizon & Best Buy to confirm the delay. Verizon confirmed it, Best Buy is calling their Verizon rep and is supposed to call me back after they find out.
Best Buy would have to receive the S3 tomorrow...

It looks like it means they are going to send them or have sent them to stores instead of sending them out to pre order people.

Idk why I haven't gotten an email yet. Or my order status updated form order sent from processing. Thursday I got antsy since they charged my card Tuesday and no email. So I checked order status through the automated phone and it said processed and shipped. But I had no email. So I contacted a csr and explained the situation and she found me my tracking number. Set to arrive tommorow by 7.

Probably an answer to all the people bitching that the stores will have them before they get their pre order.
Data point: ordered 16GB blue on 6/24, shipped today, should be here Wednesday.

I am in the same boat as you charged Thursday night and nothing, matter of fact still says payment not yet taken too on the status page, but I called and they said they have payment and its waiting to be shipped...

I'm a day behind you and got my shipping email with no tracking# on Friday around 4:45PM ET. I figured the driver won't be picking up until Monday - hence no tracking# - but nevertheless I called CS just a moment ago and also did the option 4 thing. The automated order status said my order has been processed and shipped, and when I chose the option for a tracking# I also got the "received and activated" message (I saw your prior post on this). I then spoke with a live CSR, and not to my surprise she also eluded that the origin scan will likely happen tomorrow. So I'm guessing I'll have my phone Wednesday.
Hopefully no more delays as I ordered day 1.
Yeah, my card was charged Friday afternoon. I'm sure I'm in the weekend limbo thing.

Well the above shows some movement on my preorder status page. My Expected Ship Date previous to this always showed the 11th... no its 8 days later... wtf?!? I preordered the 32GB Pebble on the 27th at 10pm over the phone. Still no email with an explanation and it doesn't seem like you guys are having much luck over the phone with customer support so I'm at a loss. This just sucks.
