Does the $90/mo for 8GB access fee include the first phone? Or do I have to pay $90 for just the service, and then $40/mo for each phone on it?
Because right now I'm paying $212/mo for 1400 minutes, unlimited texting and unlimited data on all four smartphones.
If I have to pay $90/mo for just access, then $160 for 4 phones, plus taxes and "FEES", I'm pushing $300/mo
At this point, I'm going to keep the kids on our plan until they want a new phone. Then they can splinter off onto their own plans, leaving me & the Darling Bride on our grandfathered unlimited. It will then be cheaper for us to pay full retail for new phones and keep what we have, methinks.
Wow you have a good plan. I pay $226/mo for 700 minutes, unlim text and data for 3 smartphones plus one LG EV2 feature phone.

I hope so too. My past experience with the Samsung charge and gnex radios were weaker than my thunderbolt and Maxx. I'm hoping this isn't the case with the S3.

Yup, I pre ordered on VZW.com today after hearing about the new data family plans. I did originally PO at BB (I had a gift card) and now have another gc for $50. I called them up today and the guy felt bad about not knowing if my unlimited plan would still hold. He told me to just order from VZW to be sure. I didn't have to cancel my po with them, I just won't pick up the phone when it arrives. No penalties. I'm sure I'll use my gc's at the store...buy some movies for the kiddos and nephews

Same. I have an 18% discount and ill fork over full retail to keep unlimited data until my contract is up next June then explore my options.
I'm convinced I'll be able to keep my unlimited data. I am worried though that when the primary line on my account upgrades in November, something will get screwed up. Either it'll force me onto the shared data with that line, but I can't see them being allowed to change my contract in the middle of it. Or more likely, they'll let me keep my unlimited, and force that primary line onto a shared plan that won't really be sharing any data at all. I will have my $30 unlimited and that line will be forced to pay $60 for the 'shared' (but not really) 2 GB of data. I feel like I'm in the clear for now, but will get royally screwed in a few months.
Side note: anybody ever wonder why the summary of the GS3 at the bottom of the page says it's still not "officially" official, and may launch in the 1st half of the year? I think there may have been a few updates on that, but I'm not entirely sure.

Well now that Verizon does not have to worry about any apple ban. The new plans are in effect the 28th. I feeling a 28th launch date
Not fair, looks like you are going to get yours before mine. When I look today it says "Expected Ship Date: Not available at this time."
This is typical. Not to worry. Same thing when I pre-ordered my Droid Incredible. You will get it on release date.

After talking to 3 online reps, 2 phone reps, and one Twitter rep, I am confidant that Best Buy's pre-order locks in unlimited data as well. Afterall, their system has to call into Verizon's system to reserve the phone and plans.

I didn't loose my corporate discount on my monthly bill after the upgrade, the receipt clearly showed the same discounted monthly amount as before the only thing I lost was the ability to get a corporate discount on the price of the device itself.

For those who preordered at BB, why not just log into your account on verizon's website to see if the order took? I did my preorder at a vzw store but now when log into my account, I can't make any changes to my plan as there is an order pending. My phone is grayed out.
If BB pre-orders do in fact communicate with Verizon, then you should see the same thing.

If you pre order instore, they do nothing to your account till the phone comes in. That's what's worrying
