Verizon Pre-order, Release date, and speculation thread

I thought about that last night after I got off the computer. The Bill To address is always going to be the account holder and should only be used on VZW's end. I'm sure we had to enter CC info including name on the card so I don't think there should be an issue. If there is, guess I'm screwed. I can't even pre-order anymore to keep unlimited and don't have the patience to fight with CSR about it, least not now. Guess I'll see on or around the 9th and see if I get a shipping confirmation.

Yea I actually cancelled online order to do it over the phone since online didn't ask for credit card holder name. But they don't ask over the phone either. So I guess its ok.
 
The phone has it's own pre-launch and release speculation website? Wow.

Bet they don't have Pegasus and Monty Python on it!!
 
Well, procrastination has forced me to keep my 32 Gb blue, guess if I decide I don't like it as much as the white I can exchange it once they are in store.

But then there's the red.......

I think that is Att only, but seems to make sense more for VZW.

Like I said a couple pages back ( not that anybody is reading :rolleyes: ). As long as we aren't talking, dare I say Family Share Plans/Unlimited Data, who cares what we talk about. Being customers of the last carrier to receive our beloved S3's I think we deserve it. You wanna talk cars lets talk cars, you wanna talk sports lets talk sports, you wanna talk BBQ restaurants lets talk BBQ restaurants ( Chief, that one was for you my friend ). Whatever we have to do to make this painful waiting game go away I'm up for it.

Let's see...You think the phone is hideous because of the possibility of a very tiny company logo and you're preparing to possibly go to war in the court system against one of the biggest companies in the country because of an unfounded fear that they will take away your unlimited data plan...This new phone thing seems to be a very dark time in your life. If I was this disappointed with any company and the product they were selling I'd be switching companies...And/or seeing my Doctor about upping my dosage. It's as if you're pi$$ed off about a rectal exam that the government is forcing you to get. In reality, you're about to get the best phone currently available with coverage provided by the best cell service provider in the country. In the words of the great Sargent Hulka, "Lighten up Francis!" ;):D

Same here...4 x unlimited data @ $10/mo. That was the best single reason to read any Android forum I've ever seen. I read it, I called them, I got it, I save $80/mo. Combined we usually only use between 1.5 and 2 gigs of data (Mostly wifi usage instead) but $10 is better than any shared data plan available.

Your paragraph discussing the "Open-ended promo" is nearly word for word how my wife's discussion went with the Verizon CSR at the local Verizon store yesterday. 2038, 8G data, chips in our heads...Weird

HD might be September, but who knows....

If the HD is like the Razr, a good thing will be if works with lapdocks, it will have both mass storage mode and the ever lame MTP mode that all other ICS devices use. Bleh. Nice to still have a true mass storage mode on the RAZR, even after the ICS update.

The biggie I like with SG3 is no fixed nav bar like the HD will have. IMO, any space taken up on a 7" or smaller display is lame. They are small enough already and easy to press when playing games. Main thing is space taken up.

Added: HD should be a good device.

I tend to never give much credibility to regurgitated news stories. It annoys me to no end seeing all these news stories claiming that the "Verizon Galaxy S3 is delayed again". You would think by now with all of Apples launches that sold in 1st come 1st serve batches they would figure it out. :rolleyes:

You asked if anyone was paying much less than $210 to $260 per month for a family of 4. I answered that I am and I'd say that ~$190 is much less than $210 to $260. That's a savings of at least $240 to $840 per year. In most peoples wallet that qualifies as "Much less". Lots and lots of people get some sort of discount. You didn't qualify the question with, "Without discounts". I'm not looking to prove or disprove anyone's "Point" but I did answer your question and from the way I see it I don't think I proved your point for you. Just because you didn't get a lot of answers doesn't mean that there aren't a lot more like me out there. It just means that they either didn't read your post or they didn't bother to answer it.

Yes Benny, but superfluous to 99.99% of us since your fortunate deal is an exception to the norm.

You are kind of like an Alpha or Xmen, since "different" from the rest of us and we resent it.... ;)
