[Verizon] Redemption Rom v1.2 AOSP 4.0.4 UPDATE April 3rd

Yeah, I like this young man's approach. I asked him to maintain a thread here. I hope he does. I like his attitude and demeanor. He's very newb friendly, which is near/dear to my heart.

Lou's a great guy, very friendly with people. I always ran CM7 on my DInc but had a number of friends running on his Redemption ROM because they wanted to keep Sense. Good stuff.

+1 he is, and has always been a stand-up individual!

i'm a fan of his Dinc Kernals. I'm using his G Nex kernal now. Have been for about 3 days. You can tell in his video that he seems like a cool dude.

I still have 2 Dincs that both my kids use. They both have Redemption on them with Lou's great kernel too. Hope this rom is as good.

Going to try this out tonight or tomorrow. I have to get my current GNex replaced today. It is constantly dropping data. Sometimes for 5-15 minutes, sometimes for 3+ hours.

Lou updated to 1.0.1 looks like some nice tweaks added!

I saw that last night. I started following him on twitter. I have 1.0.1 on my phone now i'm going to flash it this afternoon. I just need to finish this work day on his Kernal so i can give good judgement on it.

so day 1 for me on this Rom was really good. I got great battery life. Now i don't usually like to post how many hours i got on a charge because to me that is a moot point as everyone has different uses for their phone. However i can say that i gained at least a good 3 hours of battery life if not more. I used the phone as i normally would on a daily basis. So in any case it seems that it would increase your battery life by some amount if you ran this rom no matter what your use is.

edit* i am using an extended battery btw.

From Lou regarding the delay for 1.0.2

Hey Everyone, today was a long day :/ not a lot of time for Android unfortunately. I ran into a couple snags with v1.0.2 I want to make sure it's 100% I'm not one of those guys that puts out a release just for the sake of it without making sure it's the best I can do. Plan on this weekend I hope v1.0.1 is treating you well expect better things to come. As always you guys are awesome and I'll be talking with you soon!

Lou

The above was pulled straight from his post on RW.

Thx, I was so confused seeing his thread title as it is not updated to reflect this :p

He's such a good dude!

i may give it a shot. I'm worried that he is slowly migrating from 100% aosp. Yeah most of the tweaks he does are really good. However i really really want to remain as close to stock as possible.

Yeah I see him leaning that way too. But I don't think you'll have a problem finding true aosp stuff, maybe not by Lou, as the fan-base for it is large and not going anywheres!
