[Verizon] Request for help - Flashing to Stock

Hi All,

I'm hoping someone could assist me here, back when I first bought this phone I was very excited to root and install a custom rom. Fast forward 9 months to today: I haven't updated the Rom/Kernel and its starting to be a little buggy.

I have clockworkmod installed, and recently backed up my phone via Titanium Backup.

I don't really remember how to flash Roms/Kernerls anymore but would love to update the phone back to Google's stock so it will automatically update.

Could someone please advise? I downloaded a 4.02 stock-VZW-LTE-CDMA-402-recovery-image.zip from the sticky guide here, but when I tried to flash it, it aborted.

All advise is greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Do you want to unroot and go back to ICS? You'll have to if you want your phone to get OTA updates. If so, Wug's Galaxy Nexus Toolkit - 'nuff said. If I can do it, anyone can! Just make sure your PC is hooked up to the internets and that your drivers are loaded properly (the Toolkit will check that for you). It does a great job. It'll even download the proper stock ROM you need as well as lock the bootloader. Feel free to read some more and try it (if you want).

Crudes,

Have a peek at this post:

How to un-root (return to stock)

It's got lots of detail about what is actually going on when you return your device back to stock (whether or not you use Wugfresh's toolkit or not).

BTW, can you let me know which post / link you got the "4.02 stock-VZW-LTE-CDMA-402-recovery-image.zip" from (I think that it might actually be the stock recovery image and not the stock/factory image).

Cheers!
