[Verizon] [ROM][4.0.4] AOKP ICS B40/M6/Mods (7/8)

I used goo manager to download

Thanks - I was just starting to look into that, but looks like the aokp site is working again.

I'm enough of a noob that I was a little worried about downloading the wrong gapps if it wasn't on the same page as the ROM download

One thing to keep in mind though is that Team Kang wanted a break before Jellybean...I don't think they were expecting source today... "@AOKP_ROM:~Trying to slink away, pretending not to have heard anything~"

Never had good luck with anything power saver related.

+1. I've just learned to stay away from it since trying it several times early in romans 1st couple months worth of builds. It was designed from the beginning for gsm as that's what roman has. He always relied on us toro users for feedback about how/if it worked. That said, I read about toro users using the feature with success and I just scratch my head.... :p

Anyone just flash this right over M5 build? I'm not around my charger and have 50% batty life
Not tryna backup/tibu and flash and kill my batty....but I don't want to wait until I get home later on to install this

That's interesting. Hope it was just a freak, one time occurrence

I haven't read through the whole thread to see if anything else came up about this issue, but my Nexus used to do this consistently when stock and unrooted. It may be a problem with ICS and not the ROM. Just a heads up.

Loving AOKP so far!

flash right over M5...hmm thats a big jump there, you could try it but id just wait til the time was right cus i flashed right over b40 saw one lil hiccup and was like idk what that is but im wiping everything since this is probably my last install until the JBs start rolling good...

but hey who know it may work out for you, try it hell...

m5 to m6? m6 is 4.04 android, which requires a data wipe.

You can try it but make a backup in recovery first. Hope you know how to recover from a boot loop. :D

M5 is also 4.04 so that itself won't be a problem.

From AOKP M6 Changelog:

"wipe/factory reset! especially if coming from milestone 5!"

Like kinfolk said, M6 could very well be the last ICS ROM you ever use, and it could also be the last ICS ROM AOKP cooks up. Imo, it would be nice to have a fresh, stable 4.04 ROM to go back to, especially if you plan on moving to JB anytime soon.

Yea..after debating I went on ahead and wiped. It wasnt worth the risk if i went into a bootloop while away from my desktop and resources. So I ran a nandroid bu then wiped. Easy as pie ....as usual. Now im on M6 and will be set until Jellbean releases.
