[Verizon] [ROM] Codename Android for JB (updated 10/2)

So I want to check out this ROM, but I have a question about the dev. Could someone pm me the answer?
I've been on AOKP forever. But I'm reading about people switching to CM10 and never looking back. So I'm going to try that one, and maybe this one too.
If I made the switch to CNA, is there anything I'd miss about AOKP?

i don't like the fact that you can't change the nav bar icons on cm10. you can move them around to different positions, which is pretty much useless to me.

I'm pretty sure you can. It just involves extracting SystemUI.apk and replacing the standard icons. I've done this with AOKP, MIUI, and PA.

yeah i know. however, i like to change them easily whenever i feel like it, and this method is unnecessarily time consuming/limited.

Getting some weird lag in browser. Doesn't want to type well or open keyboard for 3.8.8. Only issue I see at the moment.

I assume you mean this: http://androidforums.com/verizon-ga...odename-android-do-piss-people-off-rootz.html

I saw reference to it months ago, but don't recall the answer so I'm no help.

Only bad thing I can say about him, is his idea of "soon" isn't the same as many of us. "Soon" can still mean days before a download, but it's usually a solid build. :D

I love his roms.

Yeah, I wasn't trying to stir anything up. Just curious. I mean I'm on rootz more than I'm over here. I tried CNA back when it was in rootz, but then the thread got locked at his request and there's nothing over there about it.

hmmm, had Messaging FC a few times as well. Seeing some weird lag when texts come in while I was playing NBA Jams. Betting I'll have to wipe before 3.9; 3.8, to me, seems to have some things that aren't quite worked out.

Im running it on the maguro version. Its been pretty smooth overall but agree on some lag here and there. Overall, much better than AOKP b5. Not sure what has happened with that team, but let's just say they are not up to par with the ICS days of that rom.

Hence why colchiro and I are over here...

Does 3.8 support expanded notifications... like if you have a few emails u can drag the notif down and see who both are from?, etc

haven't tried - as soon as I get a couple of emails, I'll let you know. the text message notification is expandable, and considering it does have 4.1.2 built in, those should work.

So far, CNA seems to be doing pretty well for me. Battery life seems improved. Faux wasn't playing nicely with my phone, so I flashed lean kernel and I'm seeing how that goes.

Couple of questions...

Is there an option for a fast charge toggle? Haven't been able to find that.

Anyone using light flow? Seems to be hit or miss so far (although I'm getting better results with the kernel swap it appears). Is there a trick to getting this to work more reliably?

Thanks in advance.

I purchased the Franco kernel app in GPlay, where the options are endless to control the kernel... Such as the quick usb charge that is in the lean kernel exp versions... But that option will only show up... Anywhere... If the kernel supports it. Which also means that the toggle for cna won't function if the kernel doesn't support it either... Good luck!

Thanks everyone. I ended up going back to sourcery. I needed my fast charge and 4g toggles and never cold quite get light flow to work. Overall ROM is slick, just needed those features.
