Root [Verizon] Rooting and ROMming Guide

I prefer to put stock rom in stock rom slot AND in slot 1 then modify the stock rom in slot 1 so if I screw up I still have original stock rom in rom slot. After I make a nandroid of stock rom how do I load that nandroid into slot 1?

so got it working with vroot, now i've got the Chinese superuser account, thinking about unrooting and trying again with kingo which failed about 15 times.

If you're using a laptop, Artcwolf, it will fail every time. For some reason, Kingo wants to see a desktop PC for rooting this phone. I don't know why. I tried and tried on my laptop, and then on the second go with the desktop it rooted. Bizarre

What is "VRoot"? Do you have a link?

Will it work with Android Version [4.3]?

I tried Odin with De_La_Vega and soft bricked my phone.

Thank you.

I googled it after reading someone used it in this thread. No idea if it'll work on 4.3

I did like you with odin and de_la_vega a nice soft brick.

Vroot worked, but now like i said i've got the chinese superuser and don't like it. one of these days i'm gonna unroot and try Kingo again.

Thank you for your response.

Does anyone have a "ROOT" for a Verizon SM-N900VWE Samsung Note 3, running Android 4.3?

Got the alert this morning for the KitKat 4.4.2 OTA.

I checked the "survival mode" box in SuperSU and installed the update. I still have root.

Just curious, were you running a custom ROM or the stock ROM when you got the update notice?
