Root [Verizon] Saferoot works on 4.4.2?

In threads that mention 4.4.2 I also see Saferoot being listed as working. What I am not clear on, is whether Saferoot was applied prior to the 4.4.2 "upgrade" being applied.

I accidently hit the upgrade install on my handset, and couldn't find a way to back out of the install. So it looks like I am stuck with this hobbled version. I am hoping I can at least root the phone, so I can regain my external SD.

Use one of the two methods below. Basically what you do id downgrade, root, install SafeStrap, upgrade.

Just be sure to read, read, and read some more. Then follow the instructions for the method you choose step by step exactly.
