SGS3 S-VOICE APK (will only work on ICS!) - xda-developers

Installed and working nicely. Fun to play with. Won't save alarm, timer, memo, but so far texting, weather, calling, turn on/off wifi/settings, navigation, ask question like how tall is empire state bldg, look up restaurants, open app etc...works like a charm.

I just dnld, copy and paste into system/app with root exp, change permissions to rw r r and reboot. App is in app drawer. :D

Be sure to check out this thread and spoof your phone to an SGS3!
 
Hey, be sure to NOT change the "Hi Galaxy" command to something of your own. You'll get FC's, or at least a lot of folk do!
 
I finally got the voice to work. Had to install a voice package that my from did not contain. It still gets an unexpected network error sometimes but it works for the moat part.
 
I've been using it a lot and it works perfect for me on AOKP and MIUI. Talks back and everything. You can even even ask her "can I kiss you" :p
 
Same here, i can't get this to work at ALL. Im running leaked 4.0.4 IMM30B with the 76D radios. Any suggestions?
 
I don't know why it wouldn't work on any ICS ROM, it should minus the few commands I listed that don't work for me.

Are y'all downloading it from the link in the OP, then copying and pasting it to system/app with root explorer or similar? Then changing the permissions on it to rw r r ? Then reboot?

Dabitz in the top right corner of root explorer you can click to put it into read/write so you can paste it in system/app
 
Yes i downloaded it straight from the link and it justs doesnt wanna play i guess. I'm about to download a CM9 nightly so maybe that will change it. who knows though.
 
Would this work on gingerbread? Or is it ics specific?

Same here. I'm guessing Samsung noticed the leak and heavier than normal load on the S-Voice server and cut us off somehow. Oh well, I could really care less about it. Until this kind of tech works 95%+ of the time for all types of inquires, it's not a viable assistant to me.
 
I'm finally starting to have some network errors with this app today. It's definitely a novelty for most, but has been entertaining to play with
