I was in CWM Touch Recovery trying to restore a nandroid and it restored system and then said there was an error in restoring data...when I try to boot it boots past the google logo into the boot img and goes about half way through and starts over..(bootloop)..I don't know where to go from here. Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated!

I bought a new laptop a couple days ago...I tried to install Android SDK but it requires java...so I go to download java and I've tried this twice now, I get an error halfway through the process and says the installation can't finish..I really don't know what to do..If someone could maybe post a download for the version of Java I need to run SDK on a 64-bit.. Maybe I'm just not getting a good download, I dunno? Any help would be appreciated.

Any chance you have a working rom still on the sdcard you could reflash to get back up and running that way? Just a thought.

I read an older post that said when the missing java window pops up, press the back button, then the next button again and it'll bypass the java problem. Not sure if that still holds true or not but maybe worth a shot for a quick fix because I'm assuming you have no plans to develop so you really don't need it.

Alternatively, if you don't want to mess with the full sdk, you can install a mini sdk instead that just contains the adb and fastboot utilities.

If you go that route, get rid of your current install altogether. Then unzip the above file to the root of your c:\ drive. You MAY have to also install drivers for phone recognition but skip that unless you have connectivity problems. If needed, try this one:

[ADB/FB/APX Driver] Universal Naked Driver 0.7 - xda-developers

And once you're all set up, you can push a working rom to the card:

Shouldn't need all that if you have a rom zip file on your Gnex sdcard. Just boot to cwm recovery, wipe data, system, dalvik cache and flash the new rom. That should bring you back up and running.
