Last month I rooted and successfully flashed velocity 1.1, the phone worked great, never had been better. all my apps were reloaded and all worked fine. Then last week it started to get real buggy, didn't seem to matter if I was O'clocked or not, sometimes phone would not hang up on phone calls and now several apps are foreclosing that used to work! I am ready to throw this phone in the trash! My o'clock settings when used are 748max/245min smartass. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Very frustrated and ready to upgrade!

Newer versions of some apps seem to have Force Close issues with Velocity 1.1.
Do you get the popup to upgrade to 2.2.2 every few days using Velocity 1.0?
Well my programs are set to auto update, one of the most frustrating foreclose issues is with LG Calendar which just started happening, If I can't mamage my appointments that really sucks. I will try to uninstall and reinstall. I am reall about ready to dropkick this thing and get a droid X!
Well, I went back in to the market app and turned off all the auto updates, reinstalled an older version of pandora (from another thread) that does now work again. The only other thing that I cannot seem to get working that I really need is my LG calendar. I am trying to unistall from the app manager in Astro File Manager and it won't uninstall. I was going to uninstall and re install and see if that would fix it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Use Jorte. It syncs up with Google Calendar, and looks a lot nicer than the LG Calendar.
I had a similar issue with Velocity v0.4. Everything was fine for a few weeks, then slowly things went downhill. Lag, constant force closing, the like. I eventually reverted to an old nandroid, unrooted, and upgraded to stock Froyo. I just put v1.1 back on my phone, and I'm waiting to see how long it will be before my phone starts giving me trouble again.

Thanks Radiowackoman! after looking around on the market I decided to try business calendar, seems to work so far I will try it I did like the layout of LG calendar maybe just cause I was used to it. The darn phone froze up again when trying to hang up from a call, I had to reboot it. I don't know what is going on with this thing and I have another year on my contract, I hope I can make it ...I almost drop kicked this phone yesterday!
Well I think I have things sorted out. the memory on the phne had shrunk to around 25-30mb. That was after clearing the program caches and history and cookies from the browser. I backed up with titanium back up then partitioned my sdcard and added an extended primary partition, installed link2sd app and moved some of my larger programs like twitter, hootsuite, dictionary, ect to the sdcard until I had 50 mb free on the phone memory. Things are much better and I may try to move more stuff over, things really seem to be working like they should except for LG Calendar, even after i reinstalled using the command prompt from terminal emulator it still forecloses.

How many apps do you have installed? I tried to keep my internal storage over 100MB, but then I discovered that, because Opera Mini and Go SMS were on my SD card, I'd get the "which application would you like to open this with" pop-up after every reboot. After moving those back to internal storage, my current objective is to keep the space over 80MB.
I experimented with toggling the Dalvik2Cache, and my internal storage went down to 30MB.

With 1.1 dalvik2cache is enabled by default, i have about 30-40mb free each on data cache and system. the size of my dalvik cache alone could almost fill up my data partition on a stock ally. i have all my games on my sdcard and quite a few apps moved to /system like quick pic and a few other that i dont update regularly or am using to replace things like the gallery. I have titanium backup pro so it makes it really easy to "integrate syetem updates into rom" so i dont use space on /system and /data for the same app. I have over 100 apps ive installed and tons of games. of course its not quite as speedy as an empty phone but i wouldnt say its "laggy" or anything like that especially considering how many apps i have installed.
I also have configured everything to minimize the amount of apps that start up on thier own and to minimize things running in the background. On a fresh boot i have 40-50mb of ram and throughout the day have 20-30mb of ram. 80mb is more than enough free space on /data.
As much as i wish i had known more about android and smartphones when i bought this phone cuz i would have gotten a better one i am very impressed with how well it handles everything i do with it because it was never intented to handle such a load. My phone is very stable and predictable.
