Very great news for f3 users!!!

Can't wait to try Kitkat with ARM on this pgone. New compiler gave me 2 hours extra battery on Nexus 7 and typing got more accurate.

Google provides many recent articles on the subject.

A Feb 11 article indicates F3/F6 and many others getting 4.4

The scheduled release is June 2014

Does this mean we are going to have to go through all this rooting, modding, sd card swapping etc all over again? :-)

Yes, lets wait four more months, on top of the months that KitKat has already been out. By that time we will be even further behind the newest Android version. St00pid.

I doubt Virgin Mobile will push out the 4.4 update...and I am getting this phone either this week or next week.

Fair point, but I'm hoping it still is pushed through for VM F3's. The Loki exploit has made it possible to install CWM recovery, robaho has made an overclock kernel, and we do have some custom ROMs for this phone. Some crafty dev might be able to make a KitKat ROM for this phone, or make one that back ports some of its features in a custom JB 4.1.2 ROM.

I emailed LG to ask. This is the response I got. I have the LS720 from Virgin Mobile

Oh well... I only spent $85 to score this phone! At least it'll make for a great backup if I upgrade in 5.5 months, LOL!

Has any one contacted LG and inquired about the LG F3 T-Mobile version update to kk4.4 ?

As the letter from LG says, it's up to the phone carrier to allow the release of any OTA updates. Ask T-Mobile if they're doing anything about it.
