Root very quick help :(

Revolutionary by itself doesn't root your phone, but it gives you custom recovery and hence ability to flash either the Superuser app (separate zip on their site) to gain root on current ROM, or flash a custom ROM that (by definition) will be rooted.

Edit : or wot Rasta said - shouldn't you get a "Recognised Troubleshooter" title or something?
 
Indeed. You dont need root to flash a custom rom. You just need custom recovery. Once S-off and a custom recovery in place, you can flash any rooted rom over your unrooted one.

thanks everyone, im not using gingervillian, will let you know how it is.


now how to be careful on root? do i just make sure each app doesent seem suspicious in what it needs?
