Does anyone use Go Launcher? If so what are your vews on it.

I'm currently using Nova Launcher and thought I would try a change.:)

Cheers

I'm a fan of go launcher. I can't really tell any differences in performance between go and nova. Plus Go seems to be the most feature packed free launcher.

Cheers - yes very feature rich and seem smooth.

One thing bothering me. I've installed the notification plugin to show number of unread eMails in dock. By default it will show for Gmail but option to set Email etc is greyed out. Any ideas?

i used Go for years. It has all of Nova Prime features but its free. I found it laggy though, especialy homescreen re-write when returning from a heavy app and i couldnt accept that on the s3 so i went to Nova but Go is great for free

I never used the plugin either

Go has caught a lot of flak recently for possible privacy concerns.

I'm not sure if there's anything to it or just speculation, but I usually use nova if I have to use a different one than aosp or trebuchet (cyanogenmod)

It does have a some really nice features though

I know Go are terrible for spamming their users. They obviously make their money from themes so they really push them. They have a premium launcher called Next Launcher and it is sexy looking but i found it also laggy and after the month trial, they want

Used Go for almost two years, loved it but recently switched to Next Launcher, I figured I got so much free from them I figured I could pay for the app. Next launcher is really nice and getter better everyday ( it's on sale right now). I don't think you can get much better than Go for a free launcher.

I used go launcher for about a year - no complaints.
I never used the notification thing either.
This weekend I switched to next launcher. No reason, just bored. I think it's made by the same people who make go, they seem to be connected.
I put it on my S3, Tab 10.1, and Galaxy Player 5.0. Works great on everything, lots of customizing options. It was on sale for Memorial Day and I couldn't resist. I tried the free version first, for about an hour, and I was hooked.

I used go longer for close to 2 years I think? But they started to load it down and eventually I was getting push ads for them. Auto uninstall

Started using next launcher recently (only on aosp roms), I'll leave it be when I'm on a touchwiz rom, like touchwiz a little too much :p

Man i hate the TW launcher lol. Yeah i used Go on a few phones and loved it but youre right, they bloated it and started spamming too much. Go Sms is the same but its still the best imo so i put up with it. Wish Tesla Coil would make an SMS app :)

I'm not sure what it is about touchwiz on the s3, I just like it alot more over s2's touchwiz and the 3vo's sense. Despised both enough to always run aosp. Complete opposite on s3 now lol.

I used the GO Launcher for over a year. But I found that it was eating my battery a fair bit. Of course, I was very new to Android back then, so the battery problem could be caused by other things I downloaded to go with the launcher. And I did download lots of it :D

Finally, I moved to Nova Prime, and even tho it doesn't have as many features, it seem much lighter on the CPU and gentle on the battery. Also, works really well and super smooth on my S3, Note 2 and tablets.
It's the first thing I download, the moment I unpack a new device.

There is one more launcher you may like to check. It's call Action Launcher, by Chris Lacy. Totally new way of interacting with your device.

Check the video <----

Chris previously released very cool Twitter client, called Tweet Lanes, but due to recent changes on Twitter end, related to the Token limit, he stopped the development and focus on the Launcher instead. He is a very nice developer, frequently releases updates, take your feedback into consideration, and implement some of the most requested features.

Check it out, worth your while :)

Thanks mate do you know if Action lets us import our set-up from Nova to save having to set up folders, widgets etc?

On impulse I bought Next Launcher in the sale. Very feature rich and fun to play with - but a few things I've noticed.

1) If I place a widget or app on home screen other items don't move automatically to make room. Apps or widgets added will just sit on top of what

I only hear good things about it, from friends in the US. It's not available for download in my place yet, but I would love to try it.

Not sure whether it's just a novelty, given its quite unique approach to a launcher, hence its popularity. Or really good, new launcher.

I hope they will allow the download soon. Itchy to try it out :D

Funky, can you check if this link works for you?
Lapse It

I use mostly AndroidPit store on my phone. We have all kind of issues using Credit Cards here, being Malaysia is the largest fraud syndicate in the world :) , I don't even want to use card in a gas station. Anyway, I buy apps there, because they allow PayPal, but they also have free version of those apps.
Have a look at the link, let me know if works for you.

Maybe I'm missing something here, but A: what does that have to do with the topic of discussion, and B: why not from the PlayStore? :confused:Lapse It

A: topic sidetrack a little.
B: Google Play is not the same in all countries.
Many of the apps you see, I can't download, unless I use alternate store.
