Help viewsonic g tab - can i plug in external usb drive?

It should show in a file manager like es file explorer as usbdisk.. by default the file managers show sdcard, so you may have to back up one folder to see it.. also I had a sandisk drive that still had the shitty U3 partition/program on it and my tablet didn't see it at all

Needs to be fat 32. I use a Western Digital 500gb. Works great and powers fine using the Gtablet. I prefer using my 64gb thumbdrive, but handy, none the less.

Should show up in ES or Astro (both if you have them).

It will be USB storage in Gtablet parent directory.

Okay, plugged it in, showed up as usbdisk, but when I go in it says "directory is empty"...? Anything else I could do?

Is it fat32?

Two things is try a shorter usb cable and plug and unplug the connection when in sleep mode.

Also try a USB thumbdrive, since this eliminates some factors on if working or not- needs to be fat32, of course.

TnT 2.4 works great with USB drives, but Vegan is apparently problematic.

This is a pretty old thread, so not sure if this helps at this point, but I have found sometimes the usbdisk directory will show empty, but if you close out of the file manager unplug and plug back in the external usb drive, it will pick it up... sometimes its just lazy in picking it up and it make take a few seconds.
