*First find a file named – >System/Bin "samsungani" (no file extension) and rename it (ex samsunganiBAK)
Secondly find a file named – >System/Bin "bootanimation" (also, no file extension) and rename this file to "samsungani" without the quotation.

Get the bootanimation.zip file that you want to use (or create your own)

Unzip it to verify a little information is correct
Open the desc.txt file > you should see something like this (numbers will vary)
700 1116 18
p 1 0 part0
p 5 0 part1

Whatever bootanimation you use, make SURE that the number directly after the "p" is NOT 0 otherwise you will enter a never-ending loop.

Put in System/Media
What do i change the number after p to if its 0?

Edit- This is what it reads

768 164 24
p 1 0 part0
p 0 0 part1

An endless boot loop is in your near future :p

I wonder...can you simply change those numbers, or are those numbers created based on some attribute of the animation itself? Also, once changed...what do you do about re-zipping the animation? Anything to keep in mind when re-zipping?

I haven't put it on my phone yet so no worries, I just want to change the horrible VM boot animation

Can i just flash a bootanimation in CWM or no??

Its something ive never done bro but i think the Rom Toolbox app lets you change boot animation. I dont know if thats just a lazy way of flashing them in recovery or not though
