What do you mean by Snapshot?

Experimental
These builds are not meant for most users. They are typically used as to test a very specific change (usually indicated in the filename). Unless you know what the build is for and what it is supposed to do, it is recommended to not use these.
Nightly
These builds are highly experimental. They are the bleeding edge and it is possible for things to break. These are automated builds that are used to test whether the code added to the code base compiles properly. If it does compile, that’s a result. If it doesn’t compile, that is also a result. The CyanogenMod team releases these builds to the public to allow them to see the progress made. Usually these builds work great and many people use them as “daily drivers”. However, due to the raw nature and the fast-paced development environment of CyanogenMod, things can go wrong. The dev team does not accept official bug reports for these because of the ongoing development.

Note: Once a device is no longer supported in the latest CM version, the “nightlies” may turn into “weeklies”, “monthlies”, or “whenever there are changes in the code”.
M Snapshot
The M Snapshot is a milestone build typically released around once a month. These builds are separated from the normal development environment to provide a build that is more likely to be stable. These are the first builds the team wants to get feedback from the masses. Because of this, these are the first builds you are able to submit bug reports on the official CyanogenMod project manager, https://jira.cyanogenmod.org. Make sure you get a logcat (instructions are in the wiki) and you follow the instructions to properly submit a bug report.
Release Candidate
Once the team feels development is at a stable point, the team will put out a release candidate. This is a build that the CM team feels is worthy to be released to the public. However, the public always seems to have a knack to find the bugs that the CM team couldn’t find. As bugs come in, they get fixed and if there were enough things fixed, the CM team will introduce another release candidate until the CM team feels that they are ready for the stable release.
Stable
Once a build has gone through all the development and testing phases, the CM team will release the stable builds. After a stable is released, the team goes back to developing nightlies. It is an ongoing process and will always allow you to see the progress that is being made.

Running fine for me as well, see the post above this one for an explanation of the various release types from Cyanogen. Apparently this is supposed to be a slightly more stable nightly, but they have all been fine for me so far!
Who's yard would I have to mow to get them to put our "versions" in their asserts? I'd love to let that "auto" feature run... it wants to work fine.
Also wanted to mention that as of the Jan. 2nd nightly I no longer get the "com.android.phone has stopped" which always came as a pair after reboot.

Maybe just ask the Cyanogen team via their website, with a brief explanation of why the couple of extra bootloader lines would be a valuable addition.

I dirty flashed with zero issues. I know there are two schools of thought on this, but I always dirty flash when it is just nightlies and have never had a problem.

Just wanted to check in. I have an mk5 sans knox vm gs3 and I recently installed the cm11 1-19 nightly and I've been using it for a few days.
I closely followed the guide by struckn. I'm using Philz Touch recovery. I did not need to apply the fix by Mopedryder but I did use the modem by jdsingle76 at xda.
The rom is very fast with great battery life; universes better than the stock rom. I haven't noticed any bugs which I can't say about the stock rom.

LTE (strong signal, 25mb, Boston area)
MMS (with LTE)
GPS (can't toggle on/off but I think that's the rom)

Thanks so much to all the work people put into this. I've had the gs3 since august but didn't want to install a custom rom until the mms/lte issues were resolved. It's liking having a new phone. I don't understand the reason for the crappy OS the phone shipped but I'm happy it's resolved.
I tried to link to the threads I used to set up the phone but couldn't, I don't have enough posts. There's so little info on the vm gs3, this post is a FYI that it's working for me.

The process of modifying or deleting the asserts is for any Sprint AOSP ROM. Just be double sure that you downloaded a d2spr version. Haven't heard of that particular ROM, do you have a link or more info about Android build number, release date, etc.?
The link to the rom is in the description when you scroll down they accidently put D710 instead L710 but its the same thing as it says in the title. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LpcD3Ve44aM The reason I want a ROM like this is because I want it like stock but it say Sprint lol... because with android 4.3 deodexed stock rooted I have no idea how to change the carrier name unless you could help...
That looks really old from the date on the YouTube video, just FYI. If you want stock, but on super steroids, I highly recommend Wicked Sensations version 4, that version just dropped last weekend. Mods and tweaks galore, and an amazing interface. Almost hard to believe it's based on stock! MOAR 8.0 is way sweet as well for being based on stock. No modifying needed, as they are both based on TouchWiz, just download and install, using an APN fix as well. Let me know if you need links or further recommendations.

You should ALWAYS clean install when switching ROM's; this means nothing will hold over. When using a TouchWiz (stock) based ROM, there are no assert lines, those only exist in AOSP based ROM's like Cyanogen, Carbon, CyanFox, etc. Therefore, after a clean wipe, flash the ROM and then flash your preferred APN fix in the same session, then boot back into system. Both Wicked and MOAR take a very long time on first boot, and there is a lot to set up in general, so be patient.

Best APN fix is personal preference. I don't have LTE in my area, so I use fix #2 to be able to send and receive MMS properly. Just flashed fix #3 to go along with my flash of Carbon KitKat this morning, want to give that one a whirl to see how it performs for me.

!!! But one thing how do I get the lock screen to be transparent like in the real android 4.3??? THANKS!!! EDIT::: I got it nevermind messages are coming through slow though :/!!! And the home button press on lock screen to wake it up DOESNT WORK please help! VERY APPRECAITED!!!
