There appears to be issues with the latest updates to SuperSu by Chainfire. For now, download Koush's Superuser from the Play Store, and once installed open it and grant it root permission. Next use Links2Sd, and long press on the old SuperUser (not the one with the number sign icon, the one with the Superman logo or Super android logo), and uninstall it. Reboot and open the new Superuser app, and let it update it's binary if it wants to.

I will be using Koush's Superuser from now on in Victorious, as it's open source, and has better support.

well I found . the app but I have no root. I cant uninstall the old app without root , permissions snd cant update the new one with no root.

Reflash Victorious, it will overwrite your current SU, so you will have to let the new Koush Superuser to update everything again, and then uninstall the old SuperUser again.
Edit: See next post

If you are having trouble with the Koush's Superuser.

  1. Open the Play Store and go to Koush's Superuser.
  2. Open the description and scroll down to the bottom of it.
  3. There is a link to a flashable zip file.
  4. Click on it and it will download to your download folder.
  5. Once download is complete, boot into recovery and flash it (look for superuser.zip in internal or external sdcard depending on your situation in the download folder).
  6. Once it's done, wipe cache and dalvik, (may not be necessary, but BSTS)
  7. Then press back, then reboot.
  8. Once you boot backup, open Superuser in your app drawer (remember, it's the '#' icon), and let it do it's thing.

You should be good to go.! ;)

BTW- Just wanted everyone to know this is not just a Galaxy Victory or Victorious issue, ChainFire's latest update to his SuperSU messed up a lot of different phone models yesterday. Hopefully he will have a fix out asap. Regardless, your Victory devs got together on IRC last night and decided Koush's Superuser is a better choice for our projects. It's open source, and available for packaging in our projects. Both ChainFire and Koush are geniuses who have done more for the Android community between them than 90% of the rest of us put together, but open source will always win out in the eyes of devs! ;)

just to verify when I re flash do I say no to fix root permissions. I , have koushs and chain fires at the moment and haven re flashed yet.

If u flash the zip file it will install superuser with roor. Twrp shouldn't ask to fix for this flash.
