Why does the Md5 need edited out of interest? Ive never used someone elses nandroid. Hopefully the VM s3 gets some developer love soon guys :thumbup:

Am I able to do that from Odin? I can't install Clockwork over Wifi since my phone can't currently access it.

I tryed and it didn't work... you don't need wifi to install cwm .. just use odin to install cwm

There's a guide lol... if you were able to root you should be able to install cwm.. its the same exact way but different files

Plug the phone into the pc with phone in download mode, put the cwm tar file in pit and hit start. Exact same as rooting :thumbup:

OK, managed to get CWM installed. I put the zip 6burgh gave me on my phone, trying to get CWM to do something with it.

Managed to get the Virgin Mobile recovery up and running. I can't say I have ever been happier to hear that awful Virgin bootup sound.

Now the problem I am having is the phone locks up after a few seconds of boot and restarts itself. Any idea why this might be happening?

Ok, got everything working again. For whatever reason once I got past the initial setup it stopped freezing. Couldn't activate the phone because it had already been activated with that MEID, but a quick call to VM fixed that.

I'm currently working on uploading a backup of a stock rooted VM system for everybody... It'll be up tonight.... Or at least by 2am... gonna try and make a flashable ROM out of it as well...

no, unzip and put into your clockworkmod backup folder


or if you don't have one... make a folder called "clockworkmod" on your SD card then put a folder named "backup" inside that one.... then put the folder in my zip inside

if you flashed a sprint radio with odin then you may be out of luck till the VM firmware gets released.... You might wanna claim ignorance and try to return your phone if possible....

Backup and Restore (that's tge option you want to open after that just select restore or advance restore depending if you only need a specific file or not

weird... I just restored from it.... I'll upload another one in the AM... got off an 18hr shift about three hours ago... need some rest, sorry it didn't like the backup... I'll put up another real soon.
