Root [Virgin Mobile] Link2Sd error message and apps that were linked don't work

So this is the second time I've had this issue. My apps would allow me to create a link initially, but then for an unknown reason the other day they stopped working and I get this error message link couldn't be created. Also my apps that were linked no longer work, they say "this app isn't installed" when I click the apps icon. What do I need to do to fix this? I'm running victorious Rom

Did you try the option under links2sd to recreate links?

Once links2sd opens, press your menu button, select More, then select Recreate mount scripts.

BTW- There's probably either an app attempting to change mount scripts, or your sdcard may be going bad. Just guessing wildly, but something must be causing this. You aren't pulling your sdcard out while the phone is turned on are you?

I had the SD card mess up the other day when I was downloading a video. It wouldn't recognize it suddenly.. push it in and nothing would happen... even after a restart until I looked at it on my computer and everything was still there. Then I put the SD card back in and the phone recognized it. But for some reason my phone will not get passed the Android bubbly startup menu even if i leave it there for 10 minutes, unless I remove the SD card then it starts right up and loads android.. I sick my SD card back in and it mounts as internal storage.

When I first started using Victorious, this didn't happen so I know somethings wrong but not sure what

Recreating the mounting scripts didn't help either, I still get that same error.

I remember something similar happening to me, but it was a couple months back when I was first trying to set up link2sd... phone wouldn't boot with sdcard in. I think you need to repartition it.

I don't know exactly what happened, but it hasn't been an issue since.
Make sure you set both partitions active and set the second to ext4. Unless there are bad sectors on your card, it should work just fine.

When you are using a swap script that places the external sdcard in place of the internal one, you cannot remove your sdcard while your phone is turned on! There is no way to safely unmount it while turned on, you must turn your phone off to remove it, and replace it before turning back on!

Yeah that's what I thought it is just that it won't come on with the SD card installed, so it was the only way to get it to get into Android.

I'll try to reformat. Is there any free program to check for bad sectors in my SD card?
