Virgin Mobile might release a software update

So my gf finally got the update today but I noticed the file size is different. When I received mine on Friday it was 14.65 mb but hers today was 17.22 mb? Is that weird?
 
Good to see more people getting it. Where I sit at work, the reception is terrible so I can't check it until I head out for lunch.
 
for y'all that haven't gotten it yet....did you check under HTC update? That's where mine was. I didn't get a push message like i did when the intercept upgraded.
 
While it definitely seems to fix the problem with sending texts I still have the problem of them getting lost in space, if I fire off ten or so one word messages I'm lucky to receive half of them. I know that's not a usual real world scenario and quite honestly don't know if any other phone or service would fare any better under the same circumstances but thought that I'd mention it just as food for thought.
 
Does my bootloader need to be locked in order to update? Im s-off and ran the ruu earlier to get the update and then root again and all that stuff but I haven't received the update yet
 
Strange? Girlfriend said she received an error trying to send a text message after the update? Good news is she received a replacement phone overnight, but it's the same old Sprint branded one. I have a Virgin branded and I always have at least 2 bars more signal than hers. Maybe it's just a defect on her phone
 
There is absolutely no difference between the phones except for the silk screen branding, both the hardware and software are identical. Any difference is because of manufacturing tolerance, not what is painted on the bezel.

it seems that this question will never die. its amazing what a name can do
 
I wouldn't say that for sure, someone reported buying a Sprint branded evo v and it had gingerbread on it.
 
hmm i've checked three times today and still nothing i'm in pittsburgh, pa and my brother is in WV and neither of us got the update....
 
Updates tend to be staged by various means to alleviate load on the servers, imagine if they tried to push updates to all devices at once! I once had an almost 2 week wait between my business associate and I getting an update, be patient and it will come.
