Root [Virgin Mobile] [MOD] Universal LTE Virgin Mobile APN Fix [WIP] CM/AOSP 4.4.x

I'm unable to flash the -R2 APN fix. Is anyone having this issue? I was trying it out for the 5.1.1 ROM.

This is a continued work in process. This version was built for the universal lte builds most ROM builders have moved to.

Currently we have working 4G LTE with both MMS send and receive working on CM / AOSP ROMs via Hangouts and stock MMS with mooknightus fix. This fix is to achieve 4G/LTE connections. Stock MMS requires the fix by moonknightus (Thanks to him) for the stock MMS fix.


This mod will:
1. Search and edit appropriate lines in build.prop
2. Reset the telephony databases (first boot will take a few)
3. copy + correct apns-conf file
4. Add / update the eri.xml file


Directions:
Flash ROM
Boot up first - reboot recovery
Flash Fix
It may take up to 5min to connect
profit....

Starting with 4.4.4 ROMs I found that you may need to boot first after flash, then go back into recovery and do the fix to take hold.

First boot may take a few minutes to bring up 3G/LTE symbols and get internet connection. The telephony database is being rebuilt - give it a few minutes. If you get an acore type error then try to flash ROM, boot, then flash APN fix.

For cm12, do a proper wipe to install new rom. flash ROM, gapps, and APN fix. Boot to system once, then back to recovery and dirty flash ROM and gapps again (no wipe and no APN fix)
 
I've done this fix bit I still cant get LTE on my stock ROM. Ive tried everything. I look at my 4g properties and there is no network provider or IP address. Please help me.

For some reason that happens to me when I am in a phone call. Data doesn't work in a phone call.

You should not need this on the stock ROM. It has all the apns already.
 
Does anyone get an APN reset when on wi-fi too long or reboot? (Galaxy S5 cm 12 and 12.1) i have to manually set it every once in a while.

What exactly is the eri.xml?
I also flashed it on stock 4.1.2 TouchWiz cuz I was having data issues and I lost 4g. How do I get back?

When you say boot once to system, do you mean reboot after phone set up or reboot after it says aicp is upgrading..installing app 56 of 93?

I usually set up first. But I think you can do it right after it completes booting.
 
So, I've been working at this for a few flash's now and I'm getting SMS, 3G, and MMS via Hangouts, but I am unable to get LTE/4G data at all. I've got a SPH-L710T, and my baseband is L710TVPU0AOF2, running Liquidsmooth Lollipop(5.1). I've tried using this flash, and a few others (one of which didn't do anything, the other put the phone into an infinite loop while booting). I've waited for about an hour each flash and still no LTE has appeared (and I'm also confident that 4GLTE is abundantly available in the area). Does anyone have any advice on this?

I think the only rom that works 100% on the triband model s3 (the one you have) is octos. They have a triband build.
