Virgin Mobile price changes

Thanks for the updates. A bummer, but then again, thankful it's still unlimited!

$55 for everything unlimited is a step better than before, but I am a little bummed that if I wanted this for a month, then I'd have to resort to $35/month back to the same minutes. Perhaps I'll sleep on it for quite a few nights thinking about this.

I guess as soon as VM released the triumph, they had to raise the prices. used to be an UNBELIEVABLE $25 a month for unlimited everything, and 300 min.

$35 is still good, but I was about to drop everything and switch when i first saw this great phone and a GREAT monthly price

Anyone else mad they changed it? Did anyone manage to still get the $25/month deal?

That's interesting...I just check VM website and the plans are still the same. I have heard the rumors of an increase, but the web site is still showing the old plan. Can you point me to an official release that shows this increase?

Are you logged into VM's site? I'm looking at it currently while not signed into it and the plans show as $35, $45 & $55.

Just signed into my account and it shows my bill as $25, but plans are the same as I mentioned above.

The above image may be cached on your computer causing the old one to load instead of the updated version.

That is weird. Whether or not I'm signed in, it is still showing the old plan. However, if I click on changing Plan, it shows the new rate plan you alluded to. Thanks

Can aybody tell me what the new 35 VM plan comes to after all taxes and fees? Or at least your bills on the old the 25 plan since the 35 is brand new.

I know they stack all those taxes and fees on so I want to know the real final price. Like I'm assuming something like 32 for the 25 plan.

You pay tax when you top up your account or buy a top up card. So $35 plus sales tax and that is all.

And as far as loving to stack on the taxes, that would be the government not the mobile carrier.

Because it's considered stopping and starting again. Doing it that way is no different than stopping your plan, then starting it up again at a later date.

Not sure why it doesn't show the 10 dollar price difference in the above area, but it shows the total that includes it.

I get this if I try to reset my plan month. Any reason why?
I would call customer care. If you had the plan prior to the 20th you should still be at $25 a month. It takes your account 3 months (90 days) to expire if left unpaid. Restarting your month doesn't end your account.

The 300 anytime minutes plan with unlimited text and data has gone up from $25 to $35. Strikes me that the sole justification for a dodgy service has just disappeared. What say you?

I just hope that either with fewer traffic due to cancellations or with higher revenue from prices, or heck both, that virgin can improve their services a bit, their customer service is horrible but at least we're still on the old pricing structure so long as we don't let it expire

But, the day of the Triumph release and the day after I have been losing 3G. Twice yesterday and it had been fine for months. Coincidence, I don't think so. But, I am grandfathered in so I can live with it. If the price goes up then I will raise hell.

Just FYI, my billing renewal date was the 20th, and that's the day VM updated their billing computer system. They said 'there were some problems, and some people's accounts did not get renewed correctly'.

Mine was one of them. This morning I got a text message, and since VM didn't renew my account, they charged me 15 cents for the SMS. I called VM and they said they fixed it and renewed my account for me. It should be OK now, but if you have a renewal on the 20th or 21st, you should check your account for problems.

Better safe than sorry.

Seriously, that had better be a glitch in the system. I'm probably going to run out of minutes this month, and I am *not* going to be happy if they force me to $35 for restarting early.
