Root [Virgin Mobile/Sprint] Anything

Can't get past the bootanimation.
Tried everything i can think of...
Made sure I was on V5 before flashing. (also tried z5_aboot.zip)
Made sure i can mount Data before flashing.
Tried only formatting System before flashing. (no other wipes)
Even tried dirty flash from V5.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated

I did this I flashed the old version then backup the boot of that to my SD card
Then wipe everything then flash the new one
And then restored the old boot and it booted

Thanks for the suggestion.
Tried it, and didn't even get to the bootanimation, just stuck at LG screen.
Which makes me think my original issue was not with the aboot.img.
Currently using CWM 6.0.4.8 to restore my V5 backup, then wipe & flash.
I will try TWRP 2.8.0.0. to see if it makes a difference.

*UPDATE*
TWRP 2.8.0.0 worked!
I was using "CWMT_ZV7.img" which may have been my issue?
Now running LSv32 on F3 :)

I didn't even know there was a working TWRP for this phone, are there any substantial differences?

Like when I have earphones in to listen to music the volume levels start at a really loud level

All the levels are all the same
Have you looked around in the Equalizer settings in the Liquid Smooth section? The phone has Viper4Android built in and that might have some answers, maybe trying to update the driver for it, or fooling with some of the other settings might fix it. I can't say I've had that issue yet.

Both TWRP and CWM do a lot of the same things. Really down to what you prefer. Personally I use TWRP
I've only ever used CWM, until I got a Droid Bionic as a backup device. It uses Safestrap which appears to be based on TWRP? Not entirely sure. I kinda like the feel of it more, I might try it out.

I would definitely give twrp a try, just know that cwm backups and twrp backups are not compatible with each other

Any special steps I need to go through with it? My big issue with this phone is if I reboot into recovery using an adb command or reboot recovery in a terminal is that it ends up screwing with the /data partition, and then I have to reflash into advanced stock and let it boot. Does TWRP have the same problem?

If my memery serves me right this phone don't like denoting in to recovery with adb it will do factory reset best to shut down then rebot to recovery twrp is better I used both that's my option on which recovery to use hope I answered ur question

Follow the directions in the first post of the twrp thread and you should be fine

Briefly ran LS-KK-v3.2-2015-02-08-fx3.zip on the LG F3 VirginMobile...
Ran reeeeeeeealy smoooooth and mobile data/WiFi worked.

Issue with Dialer becoming unresponsive to buttons, but call remained connected.
Issue with Camera not working most of the time.

The LG F3 is not mine so I had to go back to a stable rom for now but...
I want to eventually try MIUI v5 CAMERA PORT and L-Dialer to see if they work.
Anyone care to test?
A quick search and you will find 'MIUI v5 Camera Port' and 'Android L-Dialer App'
Or I can upload.

Camera I love to try

L-Dialer.zip includes APKs -> manually copy/paste and set permissions -> Reboot
MIUI v5 Camera Port.zip contains a Recovery Flashable ZIP inside the zip.

I have not tried these on the LG F3 Virgin LS-KK-v3.2 yet.
Camera worked on a Galaxy S4 LS-KK-v3.2, but not a RazrMaxxHD LS-KK-v3.2 i tried.

From my experience the camera doesn't work regardless of the application used to access the camera. I'll test this out though and get back to you.

I tried it and it worked fine as long as you don't Go to the video mode because then it says "can not connect to Camera" (just reboot and its fine)
