Root [Virgin Mobile/Sprint] Black theme for LGSystemUI.apk

The latest Gmail build on the Play Store is 4.8.
I have the latest Play Store Gmail with the Blacked Out Xtheme applied to it and it looks decent.

Do you have a link for the 'Blacked Out Xtheme'. Couldn't find it on Google Play.

------------

It's in the Xposed Installer under Downloads. I can't link to it properly.

I use gravity box and now this module thanks to you. One question..... Do you know how to get the dialouge boxes to change from white to holo? like the reboot phone dialouge and other ones like it. I have chasnged everything to holo but cannot find those

Here is the link to the theme source... To get it working with HKThemeManager you will need to Google a guide to convert a CM theme to an XTheme. I can't post a modified CM theme, as I mentioned before.

i did that but the dialouge that pops up when you restart the phone is still white

Try 'System UI'. If you're using the theme from this thread source, it shouldn't cause any other noticeable changes. Again, use just the standard Holo Dark theme, not the No Action Bar version.
If that doesn't work you're going to have to get the Xtheme up and running. I'll dig up the guide I used to get it on mine, one sec.

Here is the guide and tool I used to convert the Blacked Out Theme to an Xtheme. I'm totally not going to hold anyone's hand while they do this. It is some involved hunting in the file structure of the theme (pkg.apk is what you need from there) + some hunting in /system/framework (for your device's framework-res.apk) + putting everything in the right places + some not-too-scary command line action. Please read the thread's instructions carefully and always copy, never move, the files you're working with. Best of luck to you.

Here... I did some trial and error to find out how much of my workflow could be themed with Holo Themer. Three part screenshot of my list I made as I went along.

Images are broken. Have any current links for the images?

NetspeedZ,
I don't have an account on an image hosting site so I was using imgur... When I open the links they still show fine, it's possible they're just not showing in the forum view. Try long press + open them in new tabs.

I do not use the stock gallery, I've been completely converted to QuickPic, which is inverted as it inherits the black Holo color from GravityBox's settings.

Copy that. I use PicsPro for Picassa which is also already inverted. Wanted to try and keep all of those kinds of apps native Android type. May not be able to do that with everything, however :(

TeamBlackOut has an excellent . .

Although I like TeamBlackOut Stuff, much of it doesn't work well.

Case in point, Google Maps won't install - after uninstalling. Extremely frustrating. I've given up asking for support on their website. I've never once received a reply for any help when their stuff doesn't work.

I did notice that. Their current build of Maps isn't compiled correctly. It's also well out of date. xda-developers has a mirror of the latest greatest, as well as mirrors of several other Google apps, here. They also usually have APKs for Google's Update Wednesday builds as soon as they're available, so it's worth keeping up with their front page.

Either get robaho's overclock kernel v4 (guide here) (updated v4 IMG here) or get an app from the Play Store called Universal init.d
Once you have either of those set up, the folder you're looking for is /etc/init.d, which is accessible from a root enabled file manager like Root Browser, also available on the Play Store.
Best of luck to you good sir.

Appreciate the quick reply.

Downloaded and installed Universal indit.d (don't think the overclocked kernel works on V6 firmware (I seem to remember reading that somewhere). Copied the script to the System/etc/init.d folder and I'm testing now. Seems to be working so far. :D

Best of luck to you good sir.
Spoke to soon :(
Checking/testing this morning - went into Android Settings and the white screen is displayed for a second or so before going into the dark holo Android Settings. Not sure if its the cache cleaner I use (JRummy's Cache Cleaner). May try to disable or lengthen the time for deleting the cache and see what that does . . . .

Just flash the zip using CWM. :)
