Root [Virgin Mobile/Sprint] loki overclock

If you cant follow/ understand what is essentially a single command you should not be using this...

Yes it can, I could do the job just tell me:

Which rom you want
Which kernel you desire

You are not permitted to distribute this without the same warnings. The reason this is not a one click zip - which I could easily do - is that if people do not understand the possible problems and their solutions , they should not be installing it.

Ok what about an overclock kernel? Actually i do understand i just like zip better. I have both cores on my phone open at performance and thermal open

If anyone wants the overclock kernel integrated inside of a Rom, all they have to is rename it to boot.img or StockKernel.img and replace the current boot.img or StockKernel.img inside of the rom. Flash and enjoy. If they already are running the same rom, a dirty flash would work.

How could a flashable kernel ruin this phone, you shouldnt be doing this if your going to be calling people jackasses on open source software. Theres no proof of a flashable kernel hurting this phone. How about you post it and the whole your not responsible for damages and let people see for themselves.

Hey, Please Don't be rude to people that are not at good at developing... They are learning... I may not be good on Android OS but I'm still learning.

That's all very well as long as people are still nice to me after they fry/brick their phones.

Someone may always find something to gripe about, but as was stated earlier. All that Devs can do is proved information on what they have that works for them and to post their work with emphasis that anything done with the information is on the user.

Unfortunately many learn the heard way by jumping in an moving forward without full understanding of possible unintended outcomes. I for one have been down that road so now I do my best to better understand, what I can before trying various mods.

Unfortunately many times the best way to learn is from our mistakes. Not the cheapest way but still a good way.

We were all noobs once, and after three phones an many edits/tweaks I still consider my self a noob. Think we all have something to learn. If not these forums would be rather dull.

So to robaho and the other Devs in the community. Thanks for sharing your work and I look forward to working with everyone as I continue to learn.

Add to that that is lokified, so if you install it on a V6 aboot you are toast.

Sorry to bring up a week old thread, but if you add to the flashable zip to also flash the ZV5 aboot, it plays nicely. We did this all the time on the LG Motion.

Also if everyone would be so kind to stop calling each other names. Not everyone knows everything. There are no stupid questions, but if you're going to ask what is 2+2=? you may have to go back to elementary school ;)

I added rabaho's overclock kernel to an easy cwm flashable zip.

Wipe your cache first before flashing. Make a backup first in case you need to revert back to the stock kernel.

Refer to rabaho's thread for info as this is his baby and not mine.

So I'm assuming this replaces the aboot to ZV5?

Is this the V2 Kernel that includes thermal protection, and does it work with V5 FW?

Cheers and thanks,
