I downloaded a separate message app... It seems to have corrected that problem with ver 10....i like it though.... Very light and fast

Which message app? If it does work, I will include it with version 12 I want to remove all of the LG apps, but I am running into compatibility issues (Like MMS for example)

Okay I will talk to the devs for that app and see if I can include it in the ROM, but for now, the stock messaging app is going to be in place.

YOU NO LONGER NEED TO DOWNLOAD THE SUPPLEMENTAL PACK!!!
Since my ROM has F-Droid installed all you need to do is the following:

  1. Open F-Droid and let it sync
  2. Hit Menu -> Repositories
  3. Turn off all F-Droid Repositories (We will turn them on later if you want them back)
  4. Click the "+" button (or add)
  5. in the URL type: "http://apps.urgero.org/fx3/repo" (Without quotes)(There is no fingerprint, so do not worry about that)
  6. Then Click Add Again
  7. Then click the refresh button
  8. Then click the back button after the refresh finishes and you should now see all the LG Stock apps in the main screen. Change the catagory to "All"
Thats All you need to do, then select the app you want to install, and then let F-Droid download and install it for you! No flashing a supplemental pack required!

**Please note: that any system-critical applications hosted on my FDroid Repo might need to be flashed due to permissions, or system-related issues. however, that does not mean they wont work with FDroid installs. Please attempt FDroid installs first before using the supplemental pack.
Any questions let me know!

Looks like there is a problem with the repository so for now you will need the supplemental pack for LG.

Per a suggestion from leeb0z - I am going to try ChompSMS in version 12 which is to be released shortly.

Here are instructions to fix MMS (U.S. ONLY)

In chomp go to Settings > SMS & MMS Settings > MMS Settings (enable Manually Configure APN if required) and enter the following:

MMSC: http://mmsc.vmobl.com:8088/mms?
MMS Proxy: 205.239.233.136
MMS Port: 81

It's funny because they are the same apk files that I put in the Supplemental pack, which works perfectly.

Don't you have to jump through a few hoops to set-up fdroid repository? Was thinking you had to do something slightly different than just a straight app download, but no sure. Remember reading something with respect to fdroid use and assisting with security for the app and potential users.

I just registered on this site (something i never do) to demand you post a paypal donation link so I can send you $25.

I just activated a donated Optimus F3 and this seems to be the only rom available. I activated the phone, installed v10, and my issue (MMS) was fixed when I woke up this morning.

Bravo, sir. You made my new phone run fast and look good without all the virgin mobile garbage on it.

Very nice! I am enjoying it. Two issues though:

1) Google Play indicates that Voice Search is installed, but it is nowhere to be found.

2) You mention that Overclocking and NoFrills are including, but I don't see the app, and when I tried other CPU tuners, I was not able to overclock the CPU.

Overclock was removed in v4 because it is unstable. You can however click the link to the credit i gave for the kernel, and find the overclock V4 kernel in my OP

Also - google voice search is just the speech to text engine that is used. You should find it under "all" in settings -> apps

Thank you so much for all the love! I am very happy you enjoy the ROM!
I'll make sure that I keep doing my best to include only the best for my ROMs/Apps and users!

I think what the last guy was getting at-- or my problem at least, is that voice search is installed but none of the programs can see it - - SwiftKey has a voice function I've been trying to use but it won't recognize that voice search is installed and keeps promping me to install.

Also, I've been trying to find a way to use the OK Google voice thing but I can't find out a way to switch the launcher to Google now. It prompts me to go to apps - home - clear defaults but there's no defaults to clear.

I tried a program called open mic but it disabled my microphone for calls, I assume because it grabs the mic to listen for my voice at all times..

If you could figure out some way where I can say "computer on" like Star trek and have it do the OK Google search I would up my ante from $25 because you would deserve more than $25 for turning this bargain second tier carrier smartphone into a goddamn tricorder

ive used open mic and you can change the hotword but the app does interfere with the audio for some reason. google now is the only launcher where you can use hotword to launch sesrch app without going into the google app. i believe there are some xposed modules where u can change the hotword. i used to use hi android lol but it open mic had to many bugs.

Ill work on the ok google thing, to clear the defaults for the lg home launcher(which i just verified):
1. Goto settings
2. Goto apps
3. Switch to the "all" tab
4. Find "Home" and select clear defaults.

I think I fixed Voice detection, I am testing now And will release an update soon. But to be honest our hardware might not support google's hotword feature. but we will see!

I'll look into changing the hotword and see how far I can go with it.

So far even after modifying the Google Now settings manually with a root explorer and the same with search, the mic is not detecting the hotword, but I can still do a voice search so it's not the voice detection.

I am still testing and will post more results soon.

Well good news - sorta. I got google voice search to detect my voice, bad news: It crashes.

Can anyone understand this at all? It looks like our phone might not support it...

Okay, I cannot fix OK Google hot word yet, but I am updating to version 13 to push out the Voice detection for voice typing fixes I just made.

I also removed Q-Slide completely, so you now get a larger area for notifications.

See OpenOTA app on your phone for details.
