Root [Virgin Mobile/Sprint] Will VM know if I tether using this method?

I have a rooted Virgin Mobile Optimus F3. I used the method in this video (jTether and Wireless Tether) to make it a hotspot. I only used it briefly because I'm scared Virgin Mobile will find out. Will Virgin Mobile know if I tether using this method?

Using any type of wired tether not so much as it uses a lot less data opposed to wireless tether.

Also if you spoof the connection to mobile within the tethering app as well.

You could use hotspot feature on VM just for $5 but only can use 250mb of data though
