Root [Virgin Mobile] Switching from "CDMA" to "LTE" - Reboot Required?

Is there anyway to switch form 4G LTE to "CDMA" (3G) without rebooting? Every time I have to switch it requires me to reboot and it takes a long time. I have root and I assume a root app/program was possibly made to do this?

It switches automatically based on signal strength. If you have good signal coming from an LTE tower, you'll be on 4G, otherwise it will pick the strongest 3G signal. I do not know what the threshold is.

To switch manually always takes a reboot. I was running cm10 on the victory and didn't have to reboot to switch, but it was part of the ROM.
