README:
Welcome to the ClockworkMod v6.0.2.8. This is built from source using the current Virgin Mobile device files I have located here https://github.com/vmobi-d2vmu using CM10 AOSP 4.1.2. This is NOT touch based, use hard keys to move around menus.

DOWNLOAD:
Team Vmobi

INSTALL ClockworkMod:
NOTE: If you have not rooted your device it may be possible you can rename the zip to update.zip and flash in stock recovery. This has not been tested.

1. Copy zip to your sdcard
2. Boot into recovery and flash zip

DONATIONS:
Send me a beer if you appreciate my work!

What are the differences between the CWM? Theres on in the rooting guide pinned in this forum, and now this one. I never really understood.

That cwm is for the Sprint version. It will work but you may run into issues flashing my cm10 ROM once its done. This one is designed specifically for the Virgin Mobile version.

Oh I see now, so I can swap the one in the "Rooting Guide" with this one while I'm rooting with Odin and it'll work? Or do I follow that guide, and flash this after all said and done?

Since the recovery listed here is a ZIP and not flashable with Odin you will need to follow the root guide and flash the recovery listed there which is in TAR format.

Then, after flashing the "Root From Recovery" zip (or SuperSU if you choose to as I did), just flash this zip for CWM 6.0.2.8 and you're good :)

Once a TAR is made for g60madman's recovery then you will be able to substitute his with the one listed in the root guide and flash it with Odin.

Okay, I understand now. Thanks!

Did you flash SuperSU instead of the root from recovery? And how? or can I just replace the Superuser.apk with supersu apk?

I chose not to flash the Root from Recovery zip listed in the guide because I feel SuperSU to be much better. You can simply replace that zip with the one found here: SuperSU Download and flash that instead.

That is what I did, but to each their own ;)

I don't want to clutter this thread with another topic so if you have more questions please feel free to PM me.

I have an issue backing up to my external sdcard. It won't work and therefore it won't backup my app-data.

That's very vague. Are there any logs, or any errors that can point g60 in the direction of the error? How exactly are you backing up that it "wont work." How do you recreate the issue?

I hit backup to external SD and then I get an error "Error cannot Mount" on the bottom log. I backed up to the internal memory but it doesn't back up the android-secure and app-data because they're on the external SD. I tried manually mounting the SD but it didn't work it gave me the same error

either you need a fresh formated sdcard if you had it with another device it is always good to reformat the sdcard from one device to another. i used a sdcard reader and a make part app on my pc to set the card up for use a ext2 and have space for storage. it is also possible you have been affected by a death of sdcard in which case i would argue a replacement with Customer service for the device and get a new sdcard.

I cloned my old 32gb to a new 64gb would that affect it? Also how would it be dead?

in some cases the files left over from old phone and roms can affect it when you clone a partition you could also clone its flaws. if the card was dead the phone would not be able to use it at all and a pc card reader would see nothing.

So then it's not dead my phone can access it through the file manager and my PC only had trouble reading it the first time I put it in. Every other time after that it was fine. It's just in recovery it refuses to mount.
