Root Virtuous 3.0

What are some benefits to running this rom?

The best I can do for you is point you to the webpage:

Virtuous ROM

Start at the "about" section which will give you a good overview and then go from there. I think it will pretty much answer most questions you have about the ROM. If you have a question about some specific aspect of the ROM then please ask and folks on here will do their best to respond.

Version 3.0.0
New app separation model. Stock apps all in /system/app, Virtuous-added apps in /data/app. Only exceptions are Superuser, ROM Manager and Virtuous Buddy:
Any apps which were part of the stock HTC ROM and remain enabled will be in the default location, /system/app.
Apps which are added by Virtuous (via Market or other source) will be in /data/app. Examples of apps in /data/app include Android Tether, Chrome to Phone and Google Voice, etc.
Virtuous-installed apps in /data/app can be reinstalled by using Buddy to clear removal state or by wiping data.
New Buddy options to allow stock apps can be enabled or disabled at any time, any number of times.
Relocated Adobe Flash, Flashlight, Genie Widget, Car Panel, PDF Viewer and Quick Office back to /system app.
Added Virtuous Buddy 3.00. [system].
Added Google Voice 0.4.1.26 [data].
Added Chrome to Phone 2.1.0 [data].
Added Quick Boot 3.1. [data]
Updated Adobe Flash to 10.1.95.1.
Updated Gmail to 2.3.
Updated Google Street View to 1.6.0.6.
Updated ROM Manager to 2.0.3.2.
Reverted Google Voice Search patch.
Removed Busybox Updater.
Disabled App Sharing.

@gamma

My apologies. I made the assumption that you were asking about Virtuous in general rather than version 3.0 specifically without any good reason. The webpage is still the best basic source of information on each of the rom versions though.

Anyone got the Google gallery working on this version? Only thing I'm having issues with. Didn't wipe, and it was removed when the new ROM loaded (coming from 2.7), and I tried re-installing. It says successful, but then the app doesn't show. I also don't see it in virtuous buddy under disabled apps???

Try uninstalling it first from applications -> manage apps. Then install it again from Rom manager, extra goodies.

Everythings working great so far, except I can't reinstall the Incredible Revolution themed HTC_IME_Mod that goes with the theme. It keeps erroring out saying its replacing one already even though I don't have it on there. It goes through the install process but then says application was not installed. I didn't wipe when going to 3.0 (as it states you don't have to when upgrading).

I have rebooted and done all of the normal troubleshooting steps, so I am wondering if this is an issue with where it's being installed under 3.0?

Anyone else having this issue?

I just got my incred upgraded from droid - so a few quick questions -

"You must be rooted, have nand unlocked and be running a 2.x radio"
I used unrevoked3 so i am pretty sure on 1 and 3 but nand unlocked? am I if I used unrevoked 3?

I installed clockwork and backed up my current default stock 2.2 - if all three are tru above I can just use the rom manager to install Virtuous 3.0 right (and I am not losing sense?).

sorry I am a lil antsy about roms on the incred cuz I love it so much if I bricked it I would be a sad panda.

I think it'd be nice if he'd include the "wake phone from trackpad press" keyboard_layout.bin (or whatever it's called) file...I keep having to reapply it manually whenever there's an update. :P

go to bootloader (white screen not the black screen) and see if on the top it says "s-off". if you have that, then your nand unlocked. you can download "quickboot" from the market to go to bootloader, reboot, and recovery.
