Root Visual Voicemail

Upgraded to latest Fresh and now the Visual Voicemail is telling me to try the free 1 month trial. Is this normal or am I missing a patch?

Nope... that's part of the new updated voicemail. It gives you an option like Google voice to have your voicemails sent as a text as well. Too bad they charge you after a month!
 
Yea I'm positive. The update came out a few days ago and has nothing to do with the rom. Sprint is the one who has control over the service.
 
I say don't even try it... just to show them it's stupid they want to charge for it. Hell, google voice isn't invite-only now, might as well use that if you want your messages put into text.

Sprint will charge $1.99 per month if you want to use Voicemail-to-Text service after 1 month. Your regular Visual Voicemail (no transcription) still will be available for free. The main difference between this app and Google Voice, the former is more secure. Using GV, you are basically giving up your rights to the data. Google can use them for other purposes.

If it gets me a credit on my bill I'll be happy with that, sort of. Seriously, I don't want ads on my phone. That's why I always get paid versions of apps if possible.
